Haha. That was on schedule. Note all the OL and chip block moving with Montana.

We might see some of that this year with a rolling pocket.

Note: it was thrown outside of the hash marks.

Haha! And thrown longer than any JG pass ever.

Chris Biderman seems to think he's only going to get 20, 25 max passing attempts a game. Hmmm.

Which seems about right. 32-35 called pass plays. 2-3 sacks and 5-8 scrambles.

I don't think they are throwing out sacks and scrambles in that number...which would be great news. That means the run game is a beast, which no matter how good the kid is, would be ideal. If were chewing clock and moving the ball, play action bombs are gonna happen.

Yeah, I hadn't really broken it down by game and had to go look at my passing attempts prediction for Trey this year. I've got him right at 30 a game (515 passing attempts to 500 rushing attempts).

20 would be: 340 passing attempts and 675 rushing attempts
25 would be: 425 passing attempts 590 and rushing attempts

Both seem pretty low so I hope my 30 is a conservative low.

I say 3800 yards, 24tds, 8ints, 700 rushing 5 tds. 11-6

This bothers me. Imagine the Bills or the Chiefs and they keep that super sports car in the barn, and run all day with CEH or Devin Singletary. You don't see them doing that.. cuz that would be stupid. I get it we like to run but let's be balanced. You may have some 40+ run games but let's have some 40+ pass games too.

LET TREY SAUTE

Saute means to fry quickly. So we run the ball and let Trey fry the defense quickly on playaction.
I still think we run the ball 30-40 times and stay the route that made Kyle successful. Same offense we've ran for years but with added dimensions. I don't see Kyle straying from that personally
Let Trey soufflé

I agree. Our offense will look similar to Big Ben or Russell Wilson's rookie years - run heavy and long-duration big plays down the field.

LET TREY SAUTE

It would be stupid for Buffalo and KC to do it because their team isn't built to do it. It would be stupid for us to copy the Bills and Chiefs.

Jimmy G and Trey combined to throw only 19 less passes than Aaron Rodgers. It's not stupid It's philosophy.

This. Kyle just said in the NFLN clip the offense is exactly the same. And there's no plans to change it. In fact he said it was exactly the same with RGIII too with just adding an RPO element to it. He said he'll of course call plays that lean towards individual QB strengths but the philosophy, team building structure and playbook will remain constant.

I know many were hoping for a more pass centric offense. Sorry. But those explosives will come...set up by the run centric foundation this offense was built on.

You make a good point about Rodgers. What's interesting I was reading from Phins fans they are geeked right now about having the KS philosophy and the Pats too are installing KS stuff. We are gonna have to change a bit to stay ahead of the curve. I'm thinking TL can put us in the advantage with the ball in his hands, if he is who we drafted him to be.

If we're talking numbers, then it's more about the efficiency numbers. If he throws for 3800 but is doing it with a 7.0 yards per attempt, that's not very good - especially with the weapons Lance has. More than numbers though, it's about how he looks doing it. The eye test will tell us more than any numbers.

Yessir and he was making Pat McAfee's jaw drop with the eye test
