The video clips on YouTube kind of support what you said, or so it seems to me.

Yup! The more catchable part was amazing to hear. Basically I think Trey did his offseason homework and should get an A+ for it. And his connection/chemistry with BA shows up in clips. Couldn't ask for more from a young QB.

I really really really like that he spent a lot of time on leg and feetwork.

I'm positive with his work ethic, he went in hard studying the playbooks too.

Okay. But how much of a difference does it make between winning and losing? How much does it play a factor in Trey becoming an elit QB?

Personally I think it's about standards of excellence. A QB should want to be excellent in all areas of QB'ing. Joe and Steve hardly threw ducks, for example.

PS. I thought Trey's mechanics have tightened up since NDSU, personally. But I'm just an armchair QB.

For those who keep bringing up his wobbly passes, I just want them to give me some quantifiable reason to explain why they are so hung up on it and why it is so important.

i love That against tight coverage and a really tough defense, he is still making some great plays. There are awesome things on the horizon this season and by game 10, expect to see a monster.

Agree💯% and add that to playing against a playoff defense - the first regular season game of his life in AZ, and him just toasting the defense in the Houston game -- which was the second NFL game of his entire life. This defense last year was a playoff defense - so him toasting our defense consistently is a very good sign of things to come.

If the QB can anticipate the open windows ahead of time, he can lob it in there vs Kapernicking it in there late.

I don't trust these shows BUT
Even a stupid show sports science mention a little wobble occurs to keep the ball on target.
Its mentioned around the 7 minute mark. Is it true? IDK. lol

Wobble is GOOD!

I have to wonder that if Lance ends up sucking, what's his leash timeline before everyone treats him like Garoppolo? I'm guessing a season and a half.

The Jimmy homers will be relentless off the bat. Some will give him a season and a half. I will give him 2 seasons...so by year 3 he will either be ready to be a star or its time to look for his eventual replacement.

And we'll have completely wasted his rookie contract window.

If that's the game you want to play, then he should have been our starter as a rookie.

Wobble is GOOD!

Drew at 52 miles per hour! I wonder what Jimmy could do? Trey?

As for accuracy, I saw Joe throw to Freddie and hit him in stride with a Defender actually in front of Freddie. Freddie slowed just a fraction and Joe hit him right in the hands as the Cowboy defender overshot just by inches. I am pretty sure it was at least a 20 yard throw too.

If Trey can throw like Drew and run like Lamar - I'm find with that.

He should have been our starter as a rookie. He probably would have been if he hadn't broken his finger.
I don't even see a single wobbly pass from Trey. Show me the clips. He is such a perfect QB for this current gen playstyle. MAN!!!!!!! These highlight throws to BA are sexy

It's ok, furlow will switch up after seeing Lance is the answer
