I thought we were a Deebo wide open down the left sideline for a TD away from being in the SB.

Let's not. Drew Brees with proper throwing mechanics is a scary thought

Were they going to just end the game with 9 minutes left? A lot of blame for the loss gets put on Tartt for that drop, but the offense still did nothing down the stretch in that game. 6 points on offense in the divisional round, 17 points in the NFC Championship game. The offense really let us down in the playoffs.

It wasn't a drop. It was a completely missed opportunity. There were a handful of missed opportunities by the offense that cost us the game. Defense played pretty well considering we held the rams offense to their lowest point total in the playoffs. Yes. Tartt missed that opportunity but the offense missed the opportunity to put them away well before it came down to those last 2 drives.

The team failed as always. Offense failed no doubt but Stafford threw the ball right into the hands of Tartt and he missed. Luckily for Stafford his defense made the plays ours didn'. We had every opportunity to win including putting points up, or stopping guys on third down...Again... Like in the SB but failed.

KS can only scheme the guys open. He cannot make the correct read and make an accurate pass.

He can take penalties on himself and punt in plus territory tho...

Well at least now we aren't blaming the loss solely on one dropped int.

My bad rehashing old stuff here.. just terrible having the 10 point lead twice and folding in such big games.. hope with TL we can be more aggressive. 4th and short keep the O on the field and give him a run / pass option. We took him 3 overall let's roll dice with him vs our punter.

This really irritates me. The defense let us down in the nfc championship game. It is so easy to forget how that defense got manhandled in the 1st half. That 10 minute td drive was demoralizing. The failure to stop the rams in The 4th quarter in each and every possession. The way kupp annihilated Williams.
Even after that, somehow, the niners were still up after Jimmy finds kittle in the end zone. What does the defense do? Immediately Give up 2 stupid penalties and let the rams drive down the field.
So while the offense didn't do its part in the playoffs for sure, that defense took a massive dump in the nfc championship game. The total points scored by the Rams means nothing.

I hope Trey becomes so good it never has to come down to that. We have the weapons. We have the defense. The only question now is did Shanahan make the right pick at QB?

I'm getting triggered lol. 3(maybe even 4)super bowls we should/could have won in the last decade but failed due to one or two plays. Offense needed one play. Defense needed one play... Coach needed one better call.

What worries me is that the reports coming out of training camp echo the concerns that preceded it, and he seems to be trending worse, not better. One can rationalize it with his lack of experience, and justify the high price we paid with talk of potential and physical tools, but when you expect exponential improvement, and it's not happening, it's only natural to worry a wee bit. No?

no better place to be for a young QB than to be here is a great start
