sounds like we moved up for Lance and it was for sure that he would've been gone by 12. But we had no interest in Jones or fields

at the 6:00 mark, Shanny spills the beans on why he likes Lance.... it's the running element to force the D to play 11 on 11 that he desired:

Good luck Justin Fields in the Windy City
In the last week:
Your Super Bowl winning QB just talked hella talk about your town. Everyone thought McMahon had concussions BACK then due to all the crazy headbands.
An all time defender (the Danimal) just got ALS due to all the concussions.
Their most recent QB was an even bigger bust than Solomon Thomas (picked right below)
If you were a LB, you would be in great shape -- Butkus, Singletary, Urlacher
But Dingleberry liked to drop his pants
Hey, say Hi to Vic Fangio

I was hoping they take Mac Jones. That noodle arm in that wind would have been funny.
My absolute hatred for Ohio St QBs, not players, I love me some Nick Bosa, prevents me from agreeing with you.

Just heard him interview on KNBR. Really impressed. Well-spoken, humble. Not many 20 year olds come off that way

Waiting to come to the Bay. Spend the next few years teaching Lance how to NFL ala Montana/Young.
You get the vibe, too? It feels right. But how do you make that happen? We have no firsts to trade. I thought that might have been the plan when it leaked, get Rodgers, somehow pick up rookie QB for the future and then move on to the season. But it did not shake out that way.
I do get it. Rogers wants it, which means we won't need 1st rounders. 2nd + players. Book it.

And how do we end up getting Rodgers, we have no 1st until 2024, while he'd only count $14.7M, he'd still be as expensive as Jimmy, $25M in 2022 & 2023.

Fascinating to imagine now if Lance did have a 2020 season how this would've played out.
Yup.
We got lucky twice with Bosa now Lance

Yes, if we allowed the clock to expire 3 times
