Some of these throws seem a bit ticky tacky when it comes to criticism. Take for example the pass down the sideline that Trey threw to Jennings. Everyone says Trey under threw him because Jennings had to turn and wait a split second for it. Then with the play posted above, they say Trey over threw Kroft. If Kroft wouldn't have slowed down and turned but just ran under it, he would have caught it going into the endzone. These things seem more like a timing issue than it does an accuracy issue. Just my thoughts.

You're not wrong. The more that I watch this play, the more that I think exactly what you described. Kroft slowed down as he turned, which is obviously his fault. But people only see the sideline view and frame as the ball gets to him, and it looks like a horrible pass. It wasn't. Juice also did Trey no favors and could have hit the DE rather then let him run past.

The criticism of the Jennings is throw is pure idiocy. Jennings did not have to slow down, that pass was in stride. He tripped on his own feet and cost us a touchdown. Just those two plays being made for Trey and we win the game, and his stat line/passer rating are WAY better. Then people would say he played a good game? So dumb.

Everyone says TL underthrew JJ? I don't. Great throw.

Looking at the Kroft throw and saying anything like it's on Kroft is laughable. TL said postgame it is on him.. that he tried to lead and he should have just put it on him.. in real time it reminded me of the Juice miss vs Titans. You can't lead those guys like they are Danny Gray, slower target just put it on em like he did JJ. TD would be nice.. but if it's a completion and first and goal you at least didn't miss your layup completely. It was a layup.

I think it is more of a respect thing than Trey actually needing help getting up.

Or maybe it's someone making a molehill out of an anthill.

I don't think he's a natural leader and I think he's soft. In that muddy, terrible field and weather San Francisco needed someone to play outside of the box score and just make a Super Star play. A number 3 overall pick play... a trade away three first rounders kind of play.

What he's lacking is the IT factor. I don't think it's something you can train at, though, or just get better with over time.

Ridiculous. Kid was out there running through punishment to get first downs and sustain drives. Far from soft.

I love discussing IT factor. Many companies have an entire department dedicated to IT.

Being able to take a hit doesn't make you tough. Neither does panic scrambling for a few years and running through a cornerback on a designed run. Focusing through your pain and making plays despite the situation is what separates those guys. Lance, for all his supposed athleticism, ability to improvise, huge arm and incredible ability to process information couldn't make a play.

Ok what specifically could he have done differently other than not miss Kroft or look off that DB on the INT? I don't know what you are talking about when you say "he's not a natural leader" or "he didn't improvise". You need to provide specific examples, because what I saw he mostly took what the defense gave him in a monsoon.

Of course Trey, the leader he is, is going to take ownership of that missed opportunity. I bet both players feel like they could have done a better job on that play. I was just making a point in that these missed opportunities maybe more of a timing/chemistry issue than it is that Trey is just inaccurate on his passes.

Yea that Jennings throw was pretty perfect

That's what I see when it comes to the accuracy topic. So many bashing of his mechanics, but to me it looks like he just needs to get the timing of his throws better. Perfect example was the Kittle miss in the preseason Texans game

As it turns out, those throws deep down the sideline, wide open or not, are kind of hard to hit. You expect NFL QB's to make them, but it's not a game of perfection. Sometimes overthrows happen.

So you believe they were both accuracy issues as opposed to timing issues?

Hard to say because we're not in the meetings rooms knowing exactly what's being asked. If I had a gun to my head I'd lean to it being a missed throw by the QB in any of those situations. It's like Jimmy said last year when he missed one, "you gotta make the layups". But, it's not like throwing a ball 120 feet down the field, into a relatively small hole is easy. things happen and it's not the reason we lost.

If a player is considered to have the IT factor, are there levels to the IT? Do Nick Foles and Eli Manning have more ITness than Brady since their IT was bigger (higher?) than Brady's in the SuperBowl?
I think I know what you mean by IT but the definition can vary per person.
