I was just generalizing.. sorry about that. I usually get attacked from everywhere when I call out Lance, which is often. It's hard to figure out who the real fans are.

Amen brother!

Yikes

That's my guy right there.. Jordan and Pippen... Kobe and Shaq...
He was completing over 60% until the end when he was basically dropping back and trying to complete passes in a monsoon. Both he and Fields ended up just under 50% for the game.

Yes, it has already been determined that he is either drunk or having a stroke because he is confusing the two QBs constantly and slurring his words.

I can't define IT but certain ppl have it. I would say Mahomes has IT. MJ had IT. For the 49ers the most obvious example is Joe Montana had IT. Unflappable this guy just wins play after play. 2017 JG seemed to have IT. It's not common to have IT. There is no definition but you can tell IT when you see it. What is IT? It's IT.

So Mahomes, Jordan , Montana, and Jimmy have IT. Did Jimmy lose the IT after 2017 or is IT something that once you have it, you have IT for life?
Also, It's It is an ice cream patty in two cookies. Very yummy.

KC knocked the IT off of him in 2018.. .. it can happen like it did with RG3.. Cappuccino It's IT has IT

This is what I mean. You're saying Jimmy had the IT then lost the IT. DaBeegDeek is saying that the IT is something that is innate - have it or you don't. You can't suddenly lose an innate trait. At least I don't think so.
IT means different things and I don't think it should be used when making a point. Just say 'talent', 'clutchness', 'strong will', 'perseverance' etc.

IT can clearly be lost. This is why you hear ppl say.. he just doesn't have IT anymore..

Takes an great forum to have a discussion on What is It. Epic.

I do think the game against Seattle will be the beginning of a track record that will start to tell the story.

I think every time he has a bad game, it's the next game that counts! There will always be Treyscuses because of what we gave up to get him, the quarterbacks in his class and because of his age. At what point is the experience excuse no longer applicable? Is it when he plays better? Is there a number of games?

I don't know what the number is, but it is definitely more than 3 games.

This can't even be a real question IMO. Some of our fans need to really have a reality check. It's going to take a few seasons before we know what we have in Trey and he deserves the FULL amount of that development time before he should be judged. You can't focus solely on the negative and ignore the positive. Lance made several nice plays vs CHI in bad weather with a very inexperienced o-line,no Kittle and starting RB down. He had his share of struggles too without question but it wasn't all bad and certainly not enough to be thinking this guy is a bust after 3 games. Lord have mercy

I don't think the two QBs put up enough air yards for Martz to think they're good.

LMFAO. I don't agree with his assessment, but that s**t was funny. Martz was dead serious with his assessments.

"I don't know if I've ever seen such a bad performance for a QB."

"He looked like a fullback stumbling around trying to run the ball"

Anyone have the clip of the miss to Kroft?

Some of these throws seem a bit ticky tacky when it comes to criticism. Take for example the pass down the sideline that Trey threw to Jennings. Everyone says Trey under threw him because Jennings had to turn and wait a split second for it. Then with the play posted above, they say Trey over threw Kroft. If Kroft wouldn't have slowed down and turned but just ran under it, he would have caught it going into the endzone. These things seem more like a timing issue than it does an accuracy issue. Just my thoughts.

You're not wrong. The more that I watch this play, the more that I think exactly what you described. Kroft slowed down as he turned, which is obviously his fault. But people only see the sideline view and frame as the ball gets to him, and it looks like a horrible pass. It wasn't. Juice also did Trey no favors and could have hit the DE rather then let him run past.

The criticism of the Jennings is throw is pure idiocy. Jennings did not have to slow down, that pass was in stride. He tripped on his own feet and cost us a touchdown. Just those two plays being made for Trey and we win the game, and his stat line/passer rating are WAY better. Then people would say he played a good game? So dumb.

For me on this play it just looked like a lack of timing between a QB and a 4th string TE. Kroft is a lot slower that the TE he has thrown too most of the offseason. He should have just floated it too him instead of trying to lead him since they probably haven't played together very often. He definitely should have hit it tho
Trey Lance converted 11 1st downs in the CHI game. 5 of those were passing and 6 were rushing. He converted 8 of those on 3rd down with 3 of them passing and 5 of them rushing. As a team, we converted 17 1st downs with one of them due to a penalty. Trey converted 69% of our first downs if you don't include the one converted by a penalty.
I'm convinced that DaBeegDeek is Colin Cowherd

This was the best stat line of the day for sure. I liked what I saw for 3rd down conversions.

Dude it's his 2nd year and 3rd start. I don't know when "excuses" won't matter, but it's surely not after this short of a time. If you're truly assessing him and not being a troll, then keep that in mind.

Would love to hear your analysis of the summary of plays that I posted where Trey was special. How can a QB who "sucks" make those types of plays?

I went through the first few plays and actually began responding to them. I got irritated switching between browsers so I just stopped. The first three plays I saw were definitely not special. The first one I believe was a QB draw... lol. I mean, if you think that's special...

How many QB sneaks do we see get stuffed on a weekly basis? A LOT. Some QB's just have a knack for it (Brady), others are bulldozers (Cam Newton). Trey seems to be a blend of both. Small sample size but between college and the NFL he's converted quite a few. Is it not special to be able to easily pick up a 3rd and 1 when even the other team knows you're going to do a QB sneak? But okay, we'll take that away. There are plenty of other examples that you're admittedly ignoring. I'm sure part of your "irritation" was watching special plays, knowing that it doesn't fit your strange narrative here.

Well.....glad to see the conversation has elevated from last year.....

Has it? That's a genuine question.

So far we've seen comments about Trey's hairline, arm fatigue, counting wobbles, doesn't have IT factor, scared look in his eye, and labeled bust after one game in 2022.

As I've said repeatedly I'm all for being critical of Trey's film. I still don't think enough people care to actually discuss football. It's going to be very emotional every time we lose.

I should've put, *insert sarcasm*
I was completely joking. I find the conversation on "IT" pretty silly.

the IT factor is usually something fans cling to to say, "I can't really prove this guy is awesome or anything, but I think he's going to be awesome cause I believe something's there."
It's a blanket, can't qualify trait so I don't have to quantify it. I say it's there and therefor it is. Reminds me of Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy. Just because we declare it doesn't make it so.

Declaring someone has IT doesn't make it so. Along with all the weird things you're saying. He sucks, he's terrible, he's amazing. So much extremism.
