69% seems kinda high for a bust who sucks.

Trey will improve in most areas of his game as time goes on. Experience and repetition are what makes men good at whatever craft they're in. My beef with Trey are the things that aren't graphable. I don't think he's a natural leader and I think he's soft. In that muddy, terrible field and weather San Francisco needed someone to play outside of the box score and just make a Super Star play. A number 3 overall pick play... a trade away three first rounders kind of play.

What he's lacking is the IT factor. I don't think it's something you can train at, though, or just get better with over time.

I love discussing IT factor. Many companies have an entire department dedicated to IT.

I thought he was referring to the scary clown

You guys are hilarious!

Whats hilarious is posters making definitive claims about Lance after 3 games.

What you fail to realize is that many of us didn't like Lance prior to the draft for the same reasons we don't like him now. Our biggest fears have been confirmed.

Thats a bad way of thinking tho. You didn't like the pick so you will view every situation in a way that proves your original thought was correct instead of being unbiased. I didn't like the pick either but he is the QB they selected so I will choose to give him a chance to prove himself instead of being more concerned with being right pre-draft. It is impossible to know a QB is good or bad after week 1 of his 1st year starting. Your fears haven't been concerned

Martz.

Picked JT O'Sullivan over Alex Smith.

I wonder which QB went on to have a successful career?

Anyone have the clip of the miss to Kroft?

Some of these throws seem a bit ticky tacky when it comes to criticism. Take for example the pass down the sideline that Trey threw to Jennings. Everyone says Trey under threw him because Jennings had to turn and wait a split second for it. Then with the play posted above, they say Trey over threw Kroft. If Kroft wouldn't have slowed down and turned but just ran under it, he would have caught it going into the endzone. These things seem more like a timing issue than it does an accuracy issue. Just my thoughts.

You're not wrong. The more that I watch this play, the more that I think exactly what you described. Kroft slowed down as he turned, which is obviously his fault. But people only see the sideline view and frame as the ball gets to him, and it looks like a horrible pass. It wasn't. Juice also did Trey no favors and could have hit the DE rather then let him run past.

The criticism of the Jennings is throw is pure idiocy. Jennings did not have to slow down, that pass was in stride. He tripped on his own feet and cost us a touchdown. Just those two plays being made for Trey and we win the game, and his stat line/passer rating are WAY better. Then people would say he played a good game? So dumb.

For me on this play it just looked like a lack of timing between a QB and a 4th string TE. Kroft is a lot slower that the TE he has thrown too most of the offseason. He should have just floated it too him instead of trying to lead him since they probably haven't played together very often. He definitely should have hit it tho

Even with Kroft being a sloth and slowing down, I agree Trey still should have hit it, for how open he was. I'm simply pointing out it wasn't 100% on Trey.

69% seems kinda high for a bust who sucks.

It slightly makes up for the dozen or so horribly unlucky 3rd and 4th down rush attempts that he came up short on last season.

Fr. The guy needs to play in order to get better but he is far from being a bust. If Trey does have a "SB caliber roster" around him, they sure in the hell didn't show it in CHI.

LMFAO. I don't agree with his assessment, but that s**t was funny. Martz was dead serious with his assessments.

"I don't know if I've ever seen such a bad performance for a QB."

"He looked like a fullback stumbling around trying to run the ball"

Yeah it was as brutal an assessment I have seen for a player.

I was saying this same thing last night. Martz had a QB room of Alex Smith and Shaun Hill, and instead went and signed JT O'Sullivan to start at QB. And we're supposed to take his ability to assess talent seriously? Lol come on. Great coach. TERRIBLE scout.

What, in his first ever start?

How many QB sneaks do we see get stuffed on a weekly basis? A LOT. Some QB's just have a knack for it (Brady), others are bulldozers (Cam Newton). Trey seems to be a blend of both. Small sample size but between college and the NFL he's converted quite a few. Is it not special to be able to easily pick up a 3rd and 1 when even the other team knows you're going to do a QB sneak? But okay, we'll take that away. There are plenty of other examples that you're admittedly ignoring. I'm sure part of your "irritation" was watching special plays, knowing that it doesn't fit your strange narrative here.

It does appear JG taught him the art of the sneak.. as it was given to him from Master Brady

The tradition lives.

Mike Martz on TL "I never liked him, I still don't like him... I'd like to know what he does so well.." "runs like a fullback"

Half a Seahawks game & first two starts got stopped short of a 1st down an uncanny amount of times with his legs. I once had it tabulated, but I lost my notes. I am glad to see clutch 1st down yardage with his legs this year.

I've been beating the drum that THIS IS NOT A SB ROSTER. Playoffs roster it is, but there are way too many question marks in addition to QB to crown us. This is an essentially rookie interior OL with a right tackle that sucks at pass pro. The defense is legit and talented, but also seems to lack discipline. We are another RB injury away from looking for guys off the street. We are not Jedis yet.
