Please GTFOH with this b******t ass comment. There is a huge difference between getting sacked and running multiple times between the tackles. I'm so tired of you morons defending Kyle and his propensity to run QB's into the ground. This is pathetic. If I was Trey's dad I'd be in Kyle's office tomorrow morning channeling Jesus in the temple.
Agreed. Running Lance going head to head with bigger defenders is not the same as scrambling and getting sacked or even the designed runs that mobile QBs normally make.

I don't think anyone wants to see designed QB runs into the middle of the defense
the threat of a run is great, but not just powering your QB up the middle multiple times
It's the quantity of runs that pisses me off. I mean, okay if this was a playoff game maybe. But that many QB runs when the running backs were playing well and they didn't even allow Trey to throw down the field. It's unacceptable.
I mean seriously. Trey was on pace for like 20 carries. That's not okay. If that's what Kyle wanted to do with Trey then they made a mistake drafting him. LET HIM THROW.
Exactly the bolded. If this was the plan, then draft Micah Parsons at #13, keep the picks, and take the best available running QB in round 3 or 4. This is just insanely stupid use of draft capital and ability. Lazy and short sighted.
I'm all for being critical of Trey if they let him throw and he couldn't deliver. But they couldn't even do that!! He didn't get a chance. And now for another year plus we will have to hear "fans" mock Lance the player without him getting a chance to show what he can do through the air.
I've never been down on Kyle as much as I am today.
Im glad we have Jimmy and Purdy so our season isn't over. But I would have rather lost by 40 than have Lance out the full season.

He looking comfortable calling plays for Jimmy. Let's face it, he doesn't know how to use trey. Should've drafted mac if this was all he gonna do. Qb power all day lmao

That's a nice opinion but people like us don't have the credibility to question Kyle. Going to sb and nfcccc is not easily accomplished. He knew lance couldn't throw so he had to see if he could run.

Every word of this. If Kyle didn't trust Lance to throw, he shouldn't have named him the starter. As soon as Jimmy came in, we got back to a regular offense. Running your QB up the gut that much is asking for exactly what happened.

Persoally I don't think treys ever gonna get a fair shake under shannahan. He needs to get better and demand to go somewhere else. Shannahans gonna end this poor kids career with his dumba$$ QB powers up the middle.
