Why? No debate now, Jimmy G is the starter with Trey injured. It's clearly not Treys time yet, he'll be back next season and Jimmy G will most likely be gone. Who knows, if the defense is better than last year and Jimmy G plays better than last season, 9ers can get to and win the SB, it's not impossible, definitely higher chance it happens this season consider all the other teams upgrades and downgrades this season.

SF vs KC (or Buf) SB again? Very likely and this time Mahomes won't have Tyreek Hill and we have 2 solid CBs and stronger pass rush to get it done 😉

Yessir. Even if he could come back this season I'd let him sit. Never know how these things heal

A QB is not a fullback. We have the best FB in the league but we run our franchise qb into the heart of the defense. Genius

Haven't heard anything official but the image floating around shows his foot not facing the same way as his leg, so seems a safe bet. I've broken an ankle and I've torn ligaments, I'd take broken ankle any day. Hopefully it's just bone and can heal up 100%

Fate. I like many others wanted to be but apparently not his time yet.

Jimmy G came back for a reason... although Jimmy has shortcomings as a QB, he did work his ass off last season taking the team to the NFCC, he deserves another chance to take the team to the SB..

As a huge Jimmy Stan this just isn't the way. I feel terrible and pretty peeved that we can't see what this kid has in him. He has done everything right to earn his spot and lead this team and this happens. Just really sucks.
