Even in a rookie you should be able to see some good signs. What is it with Lance? Kyle doesn't seem to trust him at all.
There's still a chance he turns it around, but his ceiling is probably like Alex Smith.

That's exactly what Mike Martz said about him last week. Martz knows QBs so I would take his word over Shanny's.
That being said, his ankle looked pretty messed up. We may never see the same version of him. Maybe never see him again.

This stuff is annoying and serves no real purpose. No one here knows the severity of his injury but we've seen other QB's come back from horrific leg injuries that were likely worse than what Lance suffered. Lets just wait and see before going all Private Hudson.

Most QBs don't amount to much. Of the ones that do, you can usually see their talent straight away. So when you have someone that doesn't look good, it just makes the chances of him becoming a franchise cornerstone all the more unlikely. It's like opening up an old pack of baseball cards. This just a really s**tty situation. Trey is going to miss another entire season of live reps, and then spend the majority of the off-season working on rehabbing his ankle instead of refining his mechanics.
