I saw no issue with the way he used him today. There was one designed QB run.
He got injured on a play that dozens of other QB's run regularly. Its football, injuries suck but they happen.

The decision to run Lance up the middle might cost Shanahan his job.

Have to trust God's plan. He'll be back next year without Jimmy G on the roster, less pressure.
And has to relearn everything from the ground up

I'm just baffled at this.
Every fan, analyst, radio personality was saying they shouldn't be running Lance like this.
He ran the football 3 times, he got injured on an option play. Would you feel better if he had been injured after getting sacked? Eitherway he's still out for the season.

Lance did not do anything in the Seattle game that tons of mobile QBs including Steve Young have not done in the past.
There is no play in the NFL that makes you more prone to explode your ankle... it just is not a thing.

Honestly, I agree. The injury could have happened to anyone.

I'm more worried about Trey long term. That looked gruesome.

No it won't but we should have been taking our lumps with Trey throwing the ball

More than 1 designed run, and theres no reason he should be risking his franchise draft pick like that. Pure idiocy. We have running backs for going up the gut. If you want him to run, roll him out.

I hate it for the kid. At this point, we should just hope for a full recovery.

This. So many comments being made out of sheer emotion right now. I just hope he makes a full recovery and is back with the team as soon as possible.

I wouldn't worry about Trey until next season and see how much he has improved and matured.
It's back to the Jimmy G show this season and he looked pretty good today 🤣 he had to had surgery too so..
The 9er defense is definitely better then last year and the o line looked decent today.
SB run with Jimmy 1 more time, NFC will be down to 9ers, Lambs, Bucs, AFC Chiefs, Bills..
