He was injured last year and was unavailable for multiple games. I don't recall the play from last year though.

I don't blame Kyle for running Trey. I blame him for constantly calling power runs up the middle with Trey (yes, I realize this wasn't the play he got hurt on).

Most "running QBs" aren't running power up the middle. Yes, Allen does. But most of your typical running QBs don't.

I know this was only his 4th start, but I am disappointed with how he was used. I thought running would be part of a Trey Lance gameplan. I didn't think it would be used as frequently as it has. 13 (I think) runs in game one and on pace for double digit in game 2. That's not what I believe most people had in mind here.

Patrick Mahomes isn't going to be seen throwing money at a stripper. Because he has a wife. The best QBs are either married or have a simple life during the season. The ones with distractions like strippers and porn stars and video games will never be better than the likes of Kaepernick, Jimmy and Kyle Murray.

The Hall of Fame ones? Not so much.

EDIT—Since I know someone is going to say it: YES, young men do this kind of stuff. Young Hall of Fame QBs don't.

Sorry but if Shanny felt Trey wasnt ready to run his playbook ala Matty Ice or Jimmy G then he should have sat his ass down on the bench for another year. These designed runs on these down and distances are so f**king dumb for Trey. He got hurt last year doing this s**t and if this was going to be the plan for the rest of this year lawd have mercy i dunno.

Not much to show there so far. He was inaccurate. Reading the field late and throwing late. Nothing great that he showed so far. Some arm strength that lacked accuracy.

Incredibly stupid. Lance should have been drafted to be a mobile QB who can extend plays on passing downs similar to what Seattle did with Wilson all these years. They didnt call running plays inside the tackles. If you are going to give up multiple 1sts for a guy it better to be to develop him as a passer and not a runner. Kyle was reckless with the play calling and it cost big time
