I have to admit I've lost some luster for Trey. The whole reason I started liking him was his character (was Team Fields, and the Mac and Lance were close). Now after this stripper video I wonder how much of it is talking the talk and how much is walking the walk.

Patrick Mahomes isn't going to be seen throwing money at a stripper. Because he has a wife. The best QBs are either married or have a simple life during the season. The ones with distractions like strippers and porn stars and video games will never be better than the likes of Kaepernick, Jimmy and Kyle Murray.

The Hall of Fame ones? Not so much.

EDIT—Since I know someone is going to say it: YES, young men do this kind of stuff. Young Hall of Fame QBs don't.

Worst post you have ever made on here.

You're entitled to that opinion, and I'm entitled to the fact that the best QBs are CEOs.

agreed. terible brown nosing take by 5gr

What is brown nosing about it?
Sucks for his development big time. We will be in a weird spot next year.

Next year is year 3 for Trey, not 4

We are both entitled to our opinions. I respect you a great deal as a poster which is why it was so shocking to see a Ribs-esque post from you.

I mean his one single best feature is that he is (was?) above reproach. He's supposedly a serious Christian. All have fallen short and such, but to couple that with losing a year of development is not good.

Kyle's huge weakness is he's just too conservative. He won't let Jimmy cut it loose because he makes too many bone head decisions. He won't let Trey cut it loose because he's too inexperienced. He loses big games because he won't take his chances on offense to put people away, and when everybody else is more aggressive, especially in playoff games, eventually they are going to connect.

Kyle needs control. To win it all, you need to coach them up, and then let them play aggressively. Kyle can't do that.

I hate to say it, but it's a little like Marty Ball. You win a lot of games in the season, but it get's you beat when everybody else is willing to gamble to get that win. You can't go four for four in the playoff against people like that without matching their recklessness.

I've got an idea. Let your young quarterback play quarterback.

You cant burn picks like that. Somebody needs to be held accountable for this s**t.

Teams burn picks all the time.

Also, Lance isn't done. The fact that so many posters here want the kid to be cut and never see the field again is pathetic.

I don't want Trey cut. I have been a vocal supporter of Trey. I just don't think the current gameplan can be successful. If Kyle decides to play him like a QB then he can be successful but nothing shows that Kyle views him that way

John Elway LOVED going to strip clubs.

He also lost like three Super Bowls.

It's almost as if - get this - being criticized for being so aggressive as the OC for Atlanta in the SB has caused him to be this way.

Be grateful 49er fans - he took the SB criticism to heart, and has done what you wanted ever since in not ever being that aggressive with a lead again.
welp steve had to sit fore years behind joe. guess this is the adversity trey will have to deal with.

i kinda want to blame all the A-hole fans and media people that sent all this negative energy treys way but whatever thats all superstition

Sucks that this is another wasted year for a guy they took #3 overall. Now everyone has to wait another year to see what they have in him but I'm not sure he will even get the opportunity again. Very depressing to see as a fan. Gave 3 1st round picks for a QB that likely will never get a chance to prove what he can do.

If the 49ers make the playoffs this season with Jimmy I don't think we ever see Lance again. Which is unfortunate but it is what it is

Yeah I agree. A 3 year QB who hasn't played and has no experience is super risky. At this point I don't know if it will work out.

To evaluate what we have in Lance so far, does this seem accurate? Some below was known when we drafted him and a few additional things have been found out. Obviously a bunch of question marks still too.

Pros:
Strong arm
Likeable guy - teammates seem to like him
Appears coach-able
above avg. mobility
Keeps eyes down the field when scrambling

Cons:
Accuracy
Long windup/release
hesitant with reads and scrambling
Poor mechanics
Mobility not as great as some may have thought it would be coming out of college
Touch
Injury prone

Trey has touch and has shown it MULTIPLE TIMES.

Poor kid didn't deserve to be coached by an arrogant moron.

I don't disagree. The whole situation sucks ass. I still believe that Trey can be a good QB. I just don't see Trey and Kyle being successful unless Kyle plays him like a QB

He is not being played like a QB because he isn't ready.

He can't GET "ready" without playing. And now he's lost another year.

He better come out of this with the Wrath of God at his back.
