Dallas Cowboys QB Trey Lance Thread

Hope Lance to have a speedy and full recovery. Only good thing as a franchise is at least theres a lot of time to assess the future. But Lance didn't stand a chance. He was going to keep getting QB powered until he got hurt according to Kyle anyway.

I'm done trying to predict or understand anything with this team.

Maybe this will help really solidify the lesson that the ball needs to be out quickly, on time, and accurately, so he takes fewer hits going forward.

I don't disagree. The whole situation sucks ass. I still believe that Trey can be a good QB. I just don't see Trey and Kyle being successful unless Kyle plays him like a QB

He is not being played like a QB because he isn't ready.

He can't GET "ready" without playing. And now he's lost another year.

He better come out of this with the Wrath of God at his back.

Yes, but are you are willing to let him throw the ball a lot while doing it very ineffectively, be ause he is not ready?

A season ending injury can happen in any snaps.

It looked like a great match until he got hurt. Shanahan just got fixated on the QB power. Use it on third and long, sure. But not second down. Not on plays were running backs usually run it and defenses aren't in nickle.

What are the odds of a full recovery from a broken ankle, anybody know?

Yes. I was willing to do it this year too. The only argument anyone can make about it is that this roster is "win now" and therefore we should "run it back." Well his injury gave you what you want. Run it back, and then next year we had TWO chances, and it's time to cut all ties with Jimmy and see if Lance is worth a fifth year option. If not, pray Purdy can be Jimmy (and I think he can).

I don't think Shanny wanted TL but but was forced to pick him by ownership,
Shanny decides to run the kid like a Gun Run college QB without regard to injury,
he does this as his way to stick it to the man

Im hoping that Lance just doesn't end up being some NFL trivia question and he's forgotten before he had a chance.

Dak Prescott broke his ankle in 2020 and led the Cowboys to the NFC East title last year (and Dallas had one of the best offenses in the league last year).

I think it is easy to slide in the open field, but it is hard to slide with so much traffic down the middle.
