My heart is broken for this kid. And for the future of this team.

He was coaching to his QBs strengths. Some of you may not want to believe that.

Walsh and Seifert should have had Montana run more, that way he would have avoided those hits in the pocket that injured his back and later his elbow. /Niner Talk

He's young and should make a full recovery for the 2023 season. It stinks that he has a year setback, but it's not like he's a 30-something QB on his last chance with a team.

I was just looking through my pre game pictures of Trey...minutes later he's done for the year.
I will say the crowd was chanting, "Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy!" so that was pretty dope.

This is why I can't blame him too much for that. He's trying to win games at the end of he game. If kyle thinks using Lance in that capacity gets the most productivity at this time, then who am I to complain. He would know Lance better than anyone to know how much he can get out of his passing at this point in time.

The point of drafting lance was he is a super young guy and will get nfl experience and grow. Now he wont even get the experience and when he comes back will be a 24 or whatever how old rookie lmao. Great plan

It's not just a year set back. He'll be rehabbing forever and will lose all that development time and momentum. He won't be working on his craft but his rehab. This massively sets him and his future with us back significantly.
It still could work out.

Yup. Back to square 1. He will be learning how to walk again. Not footwork as a qb

Brutal injury. I admit I am frustrated that we spent three ones and then deployed in such a reckless fashion. You had alarm bells going off all week including the broadcast last week mentioning this is not a good idea to run him into front sevens.. Steve Young said it as well this week on KNBR.
