why do you worry about people that aren't really 49ers fans? Seems like a waste of time. Real fans want the team to win no matter what. Or really you just wanted a reaction.

Maybe because they love to flood the forum with "air yards"

It can be unbearable after a win of all things

That would be foolish. On a few levels.

1. Even when his ankle is healed he'll need a few weeks to get into "game shape", which would likely take him past the SB.

2. If the 49ers are in the playoffs after having Jimmy G as a starter for 15 games there's no reason to bring Trey in for his 5th start in that situation. If they made the playoffs this year with Trey it was thought to be with 4x that many starts in his career.

Trey just needs to focus on rehabbing and helping in the QB room and on the sidelines in home games for the near future. Then in the 2023 offseason he can prepare for that season.

Both. Why you always picking on me? It just seemed to me that last season there were a great number of TL fans hoping that Garoppolo would get hit by a truck.

I am not at all surprised that the 49er offense seemed to relax a bit when Garoppolo entered the game. They are used to this guy. They know what he can do. They also know what he cannot do.

Bottom line? I think the day will come when TL becomes the better of the two QB's. But, that day isn't here yet. It may be another season or two before that happens.

Also, let's not forget that Garoppolo was also considered to be "injury prone."

93 to 132 days to recover is not bad given the situation.

Someone fire up the countdown

Ask and received 132 till Treys return

Finally a countdown we can all get behind.

Wish you a speedy recover Lance.

Just a ton of living in the emotion of the moment. Looking for blame and being reactionary in here.

Lots of downplaying a guy being injury prone and potentially damaged goods as well.

It is the way of the fans.

I think this is exactly it. Trey and the coaches thought his skill set would translate to the NFL. Run over defenders left and right like he did at ND State. I think this is the moment when most people realized that wasn't going to be the case:

He's not fast enough like Lamar or Kyler to evade the pass rush for an extra 5 seconds, nor is he strong enough to break tackles like Deebo, Marshawn or Derrick Henry.
Kaepernick got by on his athleticism and the read option formation, which the NFL was not ready for. It bought him about two solid years before the league figured out how to defend it. Then he was exposed as a terrible pocket passer.

Lance doesn't have the benefit of exceptional athleticism or a gimmick offense. So he has to prove himself from the pocket, with an occasional run out of trouble. And when he comes back, he damn well better learn how to slide and do it on every play that he can.

It's no different than Dak, Allen or hurts running. None are elite twitchy runners but can be affective. I'm fine tossing QB power in the trash going forward. Read options will and should be part of the game plan.

Trey isn't a smart runner. Look at russel Wilson. He's not fast nor strong, but he knew when to take off, when to move around the pocket, and when to throw it away. When Wilson took off you knew he was going to do something dangerous. It's not something you learn. It's not something that reps gets you. That is something inherent in each individual player. Dak does it. Hurts does it. Kyler does it. Young definitely had it. Even fields has it Trey doesn't have it.

His best bet is to.drvrlop from the pocket and have the ability to run if necessary. And only.of necessary. No designed runs please.

Heal up young Trey! You've got this.

This was no more the Seahawks fault than Shanhan's IMO, but damn man. Rocky Bernard upended Alex Smith's career development early in 2007 and now yesterday. Eff those guys.

Now... let's roll.

He needs to get off twitter. People on twitter and/or social media do not represent the majority of 49ers fans.
GET WELL SOONEST !!!! HEAL UP !! HEAL UP!!

Russel also isn't running 12+ read options per game. He is using his legs and escapability to buy time and find an open receiver or get some yards. Carroll isn't that dumb.
