He came in last year with scored tied 7-7 and lost. So he getting credit for a win when he exits at 3-0 but not a loss when he enters at 7-7?

It's going to be another fun season of watching TL fans hoping and praying that Jimmy Garoppolo doesn't win a Super Bowl.
Former niner had this to say
The number of 9ers "fans" that would rather lose than win with 10 is comical 🤦🏾♂️

Its sad really.
Here's to back to back superbowls. One with Jimmy and one with Trey.
No true fan wants to "lose with 10." Those aren't fans.
But real fans, like myself, know that a healthy and developing Trey Lance could've made this team unstoppable by seasons end.
We know how the Jimmy G story ends, we've seen it before.
I also wouldn't be surprised if he gets hurt too.
Jimmy G Story the last 3 seasons has either ended a play away or a game away from another Superbowl.
I expect the same this year. 1st or 2nd round playoff bounce.
I think people can still grow when they're in their early 30's and Jimmy just turned 30. He's gotten us close, even when injured. Maybe this is the team that he finally gets over the hump with. I mean our last SB winner didn't figure it out until he was what 33?

I dunno. As a fan I don't get how you could hate one qb or the other. When it was lances turn I was down to root for him. Now fate has handed us back to jimmy. Both are capable. I see a little swagger from jimmy we haven't seen in awhile. He wants the ring and the big contract

Technically Jimmy took the L for that game last year.

If you were to check the highlights from yesterday's game on YouTube, you will find Trey Lance playing well and leading the team down the field on two straight drives. True, he didn't get a TD on that first drive, it was still pretty good. TL hit some nice passes on that drive.
Same story with the second drive. He was taking that offense right down the field. It wasn't all TL. This is a team game. But he wasn't screwing up either. The bottom line is: he looked GOOD. Good enough to win the game had he not been injured.
It's a crying shame that he got hurt. But, TL will be back. It's still his team.

I think Trey was going to have a breakout game on Sunday. He looked good on both drives until the injury.

You know he was going to have a breakout game after throwing 3 passes for 30 yards?

He's also thrown more interceptions and had more turnovers than TD's in the post season so he's never the one the team leans on to win. Zero 4th quarter touchdowns in the Superbowl or NFCCG when his team needed him the most.
Not a hater, I'm happy he's here and playing just unhappy with how it all unfolded because I think it was irresponsible coaching.

Why do you hate Jimmy so much? Trey is hurt. Theres nothing you can do to change that. Would you rather have sudfeld right now? Are you the least bit happy the niners can still be competitive? We don't have a 1st next year anyway.

If one subscribes to QB records, yes. This is how it works.
