moving on…

Wasn't really directing the post at you (or SLC alone)... I just picked that spot. I also wasn't being that serious. The thread's been ridiculous all day long, lol.

Jimmy and Lance have had several injuries in a short time. Remains to be seen with Purdy.

After everything we've seen, I have no doubt that everyone will pile on Purdy in a couple of years saying hes injury prone. And we will chalk it up to bad luck

Backbreaking to get through a 17 game season as relatively healthy as we were at every other position, only to have an atom bomb dropped on the QB room. No scientific data to support bad karma or curses, the scheme and coaching excuse as well, so just going off of laws of average hopefully next year will be the one. The world knows we have the best roster when healthy.

Heartbreaking. It was a freak hit and outcome but like you said, we may never be in the playoffs that healthy ever again only to erase all of it with Brock going down in sacrifice rendering it all moot.

If purdy averages an injury every other start or every other year, than the injury prone label will be appropriate, whether it's bad luck or not.

Ribs and elbow in 11 games. Have faith. He's almost there! LOL
I'm sure there's going to be a lot of s**t flinging the next 6 months between Brock fans and Trey fans. But I think the whole thing is a moot point. I expect both of these players to get significant playing time next year with how fast they're churning through QBs. Zero confidence that any of them last a full season

Since he can't prove he can stay healthy from the bench, Lynch just announced who QB1 is to kick off 2023. LFG!!!!
Lmao

There is also other activities players can get hurt in besides playing in games, such as OTA, TC, Practice during the season while riding the bench, etc

btw didn't Lance hurt his finger in TC?

I didn't antagonize you man, and I'm sorry if you felt attacked when I responded to you. You are always welcome to not respond to my OP.

Get exactly what "done"? What standard? You mean a Superbowl victory? Being undefeated in every game started?

Be a productive quarterback that isn't just along for the ride but continually makes plays to help this team win games while minimizing turnovers.

I don't disagree with this, but I would like to understand more what you mean by this?

Not Jimmy.

not from me. i support both these young guys and may the best man win
Even though I don't fully agree with Lynch - I'm glad he said. Lance is someone who is at his best when pressured and counted out. FO needs to put pressure on him and at the very least make him believe that this could be his last opportunity with the 49ers - as unfair as that sounds.

I think msg is - as unfortunate as Purdy's injury was - it is somewhat of a lucky break for you so if you're not gonna take the full advantage of it - this may be it. So, be in the best shape you possibly can when off-season workouts begin and be fully ready to go.

Of course I believe Trey know all this but sometimes you need to hear it.

All I know is Lance played 3.5 games. He has all the tools and a limitless ceiling. That's why the 49ers gave so much to get him. He's going to get his opportunity whether here or elsewhere. It's only a matter of time because he's 22 and everyone that does have a QB is looking for a QB

Got to see what we got with Trey - because, we don't know if Brock will come back the same.

Purdy will be fine. It is more likely Lance wont be as mobile for a year or two and will be gun shy about moving around.
