I'm pleased with this. Brock or Trey is the way to go. I don't want an established vet retread here unless it's QB3 or we draft another QB with our 11 draft picks which I wouldn't be opposed to. Let the two dudes who beat the table for Brock make a QB selection in rounds 5-7.
Being a fan that wants Trey to have a fair chance so he can really show us why he was drafted how he was right now feels a lot like Pauly Shore in Jury Duty as the only one voting "Not gilty" in a room full of "guilty"s. lol

Infinitely better than Jimmy when he was in his prime,..and he finished the deal too.

LOL, why are you bringing up Jimmy in this thread and lol at posting rungs from Rams players in the Trey Lance thread.

Weird AF

Sorry if I offended it's members.

If Tartt could catch your dude wouldn't have any rings.

Lol and if Jimmy was a better QB then Stafford, he would've done something with the drives after the Tartt drop

Who said anything about Jimmy?

The only thing that really bugs me about Trey's throwing mechanics is this ball flip thingy he does. Most QBs pat the ball from their static carry spot and then bring it back to begin their motion, but Trey brings the ball up, flips it as he pats and then begins his motion. This is why his throwing motion feels long to people. If he simply eliminated this part, it would be much quicker. I think he will hammer it out in time, but it's a long process.

For comparison, here is Purdy. It's a lot more like Jimmy where there's no movement of the ball before the pat. Pat the ball and then begin motion.

ya a lot of wasted motion

i'm baffled why he completely changed his mechanics after college

I did because you are apparently blaming the game on Tartt for that one play. Did the game end after that or did we have multiple opportunities on offense after it happened?

Lol everyone knows what you were up to. So every time you bring up your favorite comparison we're going to remind you how things actually played out afterwards. Nothing more than that and no one cares about that guy more than you do.

Wow, this is my first time reading that article, and it talked exactly about what I said about him carrying the ball high. I feel like he's not far away from have a blazing quick release--just a few tiny improvements and NOT an overhaul. Lower carry+eliminate flip=stupid quick release

1. He doesn't need a super duper quick release to some day become a very good player though. He has alot of other tools to get there. For him it's all mental, reps, and experience right now.

2. Honestly? Dude's going to have been here for 2 years come early May and we're just dying for something football-related to discuss or break down regarding him.

The reality is we really have no clue or data that this millisecond or 2 of wasted motion (that actually help "him" propel his throws) has any negative effect on his game.

Would love to have enough game evidence to verify, but unlike the people that have watched him play every day in practice, we just don't know.

And that's not real life.

Come on, Trey, I know the job is probably Brock's when he get's back, but keep being a good teammate and help out Brock.

Lets figure out of Brock is even playing this year before penciling him in as the starter.
