Whether you like his opinion or not, he probably knows just as much about football as most people on this board so for me, it is what it is. Just throwing this out there. He was right about Jimmy and he was definitely right about kinlaw.

Grant's football opinions are consistently terrible, from his broad analysis of players, teams, and coaches, to his 'film analysis.'

I find some of his trolling tactics amusing though, with exception to what happened with Kinlaw. That was really gross on a lot of different levels.

Truth brother

Grant's "opinion" is based around what makes him the most cash. If that's your guy to get SF content realize that's the basis on everything he says.

He is wrong way more often than he is right. I can list all the players he is or was wrong about but it would take too long.

Funny thing about him was no matter what he said or did, he had such a small following the most attention he got was from this board. No one really cared about anything he did (expect on the rare instance he would piss off a player by asking a question designed to piss them off). But seems like in the last few years he started to break out. I guess that even though Sports Illustrated is kind of dead as anything meaningful in the sports landscape (think of it as Bleacher Report in the mid 2000s) it must mean something to some still.

Everyone is right sometimes and wrong at other times, It is easy enough to be right or wrong without being an obnoxious douchebag. Cohn fails at this… that is why he is not respected. He needs to grow up… a LOT.

Yeah he's built up his "brand" via YouTube/Twitter. he's no dummy on what sells and gets engagements in this age.

He's kinda a moron, but I respect the hustle. I just understand what his game plan is and overall take it for that.

Don't value anything those dummies say.

Cohn has stated that's how he makes his cash. SI doesn't pay him a "salary" it's all basically commission. Like I said don't hate the hustle. I'm not gonna value much of anything he says. I will say I do read his observations during TC…just because it's more content.

He was stuck at around 5.000 Twitter followers for probably 10+ years, now he has 30,000+ on twitter and 60,000+ on YouTube. Wouldn't shock me if he paid for some of that.

Wouldn't shock me either.

Being a negative ass with hot takes and labeling himself QC for the 49ers will get you followers today.

no one really cares for objective truthful information. That's boring. They want controversy, skepticism, & conspiracies
Lowell Cohn question:

Do we have a QB1 for 2023? Do we know if either of these guys can play between TL and BP?

I agree with almost everything you've posted here, but especially the bolded.

I just want to clarify that while I would argue that the team and Lance's situation appears unfair to Lance, it doesn't matter. He should not be prioritized over maximizing the chances of winning a Super Bowl when our team is on the doorstep.

disagree. You spend that kind of capital. You KNOW he needs to be developed and wasn't gonna be an all-star day 1. You need to expect ups and downs. That IS part of the process with a very young QB.

why can't we be like Philly or the Bills? you talk about a Super Bowl. Who's gonna be the QB? You think Brock is gonna beat the Hurts/Mahomes/Allen/burrow's in the league? I'm not sure I'm there with that.

Says don't base judgement on a handful of starts as he bases judgment on a handful of starts.
lol
Also, Lance got hurt or he would have been getting experience this year or am I missing something on the constant whining about Lance not getting playing experience?

I think he's just responding to the constant whining by your comrades, FWIW.

Repeating the truth over and over to falsehoods is a necessary evil so long as falsehoods are allowed to be repeated....and not at all considered whining (or stalking).
