He's referring to the fact that when you have a QB that's a threat to run it's harder to double someone else. You have to account for the QB. Therefore it becomes 11 on 11.
Something I hope rubs off on Trey from Brock are the pump fakes, jukes and hesis. Brock is incredible at getting defenders to stop their feet and buy himself more time/space to throw. The number of defenders that Brock froze with a pump fake or hesi step was impressive.

That is what PHi does with Hertz.

We should have it in our arsenal but not overuse it.

It is ideal for red zone packages and key downs.

I'd like to see Trey with the same play calls we saw with Purdy.
The offense looked dynamic enough with all of the QB runs we saw called for Trey. Keep him healthy and have a consistent scheme with both qbs.

He needs experience to be ready to play.
He needs to play to get experience.

100% agree

I wanted to see Trey with JG/BP play calls

Not fullback Trey

I just play with the guy ready to win now. Which is Brock Purdy. Lance can learn from the sideline. Hopefully improve his reads and progressions and especially mechanics. In the meantime he will have a Taysom Hill like package of plays where he will be used.

No QB is improving his reads and progressions from the sideline.

That's the conundrum. You have one guy that has shown great ability in high-pressure games and another guy who you thought might be that guy but has not had the chance to show it. So, do you sit the one guy you know is good in order to let the other guy see if he can be good?

Such is the discussion for the next 6 months...and beyond.

I agree but he's not ready to play because he doesn't have experience.
