His success will be judged on team performance.

Lol so not even "offensive" performance huh?

He's responsible for the entire team.

Going to enjoy this offseason of cliches.

Fans and media members will judge him if the team doesn't win with him. This is an obvious fact.

He'll also be judged by the offensive performance, it was really good with Brock. He'll also be judged by stats. He'll also be judged by the eye test by folks like Hoe Montana and fans on this board.

Responsibility is irrelevant, people judged by results.

What cliche are you talking about?

We've gotten beaten by Russell Wilson at a high clip over the years and he's no Mike Vick but it shows that you just need to be a threat to run at the position in order to make the defense respect the QB run

Trey can become the starter this off-season if he has a successful one BUT he won't be unquestioned until he leads us to a Lombardi. He will be held to the same standards Steve Young was. Until either Trey or Brock can win it all they rightfully should be looking over their shoulders

If the standard on Brock was to beat the Eagles and win the Super Bowl so that he could be considered QB1, I think it would only be fair to expect from the 3rd overall pick not only to win the Super Bowl but also to lead the league in yards and TD passes.

We wouldn't even be in the playoffs if he was the starter. That's cold hard truth. Also if Brock Purdy doesn't hurt his elbow we are in that game with a chance to win.

Lance has only proven he can beat the worst team in the league. He needs to prove he can beat the second worst team as a starting point. Brock on the other hand was the first Rookie to win against Tom Brady.

Yeah that's correct among other things. You can go 10 deep on this. Or 100 deep. But as of right now Brock Purdy is just a lot better. 48% and not reading the field well and janky mechanics and throwing an inaccurate ball just won't cut it at the NFL level.

Hoe Cool
We will see what Trey brings to the table come camp time. 49ers get to start the better the two between Purdy if healthy and Trey.

May the best man win. If Trey beats out Lance then the 49ers should be in good shape. I'll trust in Shanny on this.
