We want to win the Super Bowl. We don't care about stats. We have the number one defense in the NFL. We didn't win the chip. That's what matters!

Yeah that's correct among other things. You can go 10 deep on this. Or 100 deep. But as of right now Brock Purdy is just a lot better. 48% and not reading the field well and janky mechanics and throwing an inaccurate ball just won't cut it at the NFL level.

Right now Brock is rehabbing for six months and some change so Trey will be groomed and will take 100% of the first team reps as QB 1 this offseason

Doesn't matter, Brock will be the starter whatever Trey ends up doing.

If the team starts out hot, Kyle isn't just gonna randomly bench Trey.

May the best man win. If Trey beats out Lance then the 49ers should be in good shape. I'll trust in Shanny on this.

Trey has the potential to be a great one. I really can see him pushing Purdy also. Love the QB situation. We have the Steve Young/Joe Montana situation all over again. Love it!

Fans and media members will judge him if the team doesn't win with him. This is an obvious fact.

He'll also be judged by the offensive performance, it was really good with Brock. He'll also be judged by stats. He'll also be judged by the eye test by folks like Hoe Montana and fans on this board.

Responsibility is irrelevant, people judged by results.

What cliche are you talking about?

You guys heard it here 1st. A new Wooism for the off-season.

Teams have performed well solely because of QBs.

The defense has been lights out because Jimmy led them all these years.

Robbie Gould owes alot of thanks to Jimmy as he closes out his career. Jimmy has kept his performance at a relatively high level.

How the team performs is directly dependent on how the QB performs.

But this is just a couple days after u said a #1 overall pick got lucky when he led his team to a SB victory.

Lol...the issue with "agenda" posting is it's very, very easy to completely contradict yourself within a couple days. How bout we just share our honest opinions instead of posting with agendas?

The coaches will decide this stuff, regardless of what side we're on.

Coach Kyle?

Well that's simply not true…you're acting like he's prime Rogers who's proven to be elite over years of playing football.

he's had a couple very good games and it wasn't some elite play either the whole time (which is fine he's a rookie).

Acting like Lance has not shot to be the starter is silly though.

You really make things personal. It is weird.

I never said anything like "Teams have performed well solely because of QBs" you are making up an argument to argue against again.

I never mentioned Jimmy, it is weird that you always bring him up out od nowhere in random theeads.

And ypu also brought up defending Stafforf.

Why not try to stay on topic?

I'm on the 49ers side. The thing is we haven't won and that's all that matters. We will have a 22 year old drafted to be the franchise healthy to take QB1 snaps all offseason for the second offseason straight. We will have a 23 year old rehabbing that can't go until the conclusion of training camp. We will need to draft another young guy to learn from them both

Right now it looks like a betting man's odds are on Trey starting because Brock is injured and unavailable until late August after which he will need to reacclimate himself to playing shape. I know some of us desperately want Brock to start and for Trey to get traded but does any of that make sense with Brock hurt and none other than Trey, who happened to be drafted to start and Josh Johnson on the roster who also seems to be hurt?

It is time some fans support the guys we have wearing the uniform. I rooted for Jimmy Trey Purdy and now all over again. If Purdy were healthy I'd be saying Purdy is in the lead and Trey has to take it from him but there would be a competition if we weren't playing this week. But fact is Purdy is gonna be out at least six months post surgery and Trey is gonna be taking snaps as he was drafted to be so I am gonna cheer Trey on and pray for Brock to get back healthy and fully intact

I also want us to draft another Purdy type realistically because Trey's don't fall to the picks we have this year. We likely won't get a Purdy but someone similarly undervalued would be nice. Man it sucks he got hurt in that game because we might be playing this weekend

Hey...sorry if you think I strayed from the topic. Apologies.

I edited the needless stuff out so we can stay on topic as you wanted.

I will simply wait and see your rationale for saying both of these things within a couple days:
