Imagine Bills fans minimizing Allens play because he didn't shred every team in the playoffs and/or win a SB by now.

That's the bar some are setting for Lance. Nothing he does will mean much of anything until he shreds top defenses in the playoffs in route to SB win.
that must suck for some not being able to enjoy the season and waiting around for playoffs to come for QB play to mean something.
Man! I remember to start the year someone posted its just about getting to the playoffs. Anything can happen after that. Once Brock came in.... he had to win the SB.
That's so f**kn true! lol
Btw, I was one those posters that believed that heading into the season with Lance. I just wanted playoffs in his second year starting.
But for some it's tearing up top defenses in playoffs and winning a SB. Quite the benchmark for a rookie lol

I think part of what frustrated Kyle with Jimmy was him repeating mistakes. If Lance reaches his potential, this offense will be nearly impossible to stop. If Trey struggles in a way that displeases Kyle and/or the season looks like it could be compromised due to his play, the switch will be made.
Right. That's what Trey was drafted to do I believe some of our posters forget. He is supposed to unlock the God Mode offensively in the same ways we see Josh Allen when he has it going but where here we have more elite weaponry with the best defense to keep giving us the ball back to score more
I want to see that. I want to break records next season offensively. I want it all and the promise of Trey Lance intrigues me. Maybe it's because I know Brock is hurt but I feel great having the both of them
This is why I don't understand "fans" wanting Trey to fail. We now know the floor of our offense. If Brock turns out to be the ceiling also, we're still set! But, if Trey can take it even further, OMFG!

I thought it was the bar as well. Win the Super Bowl or else we won't cement anyone the franchise QB. If Trey or Brock wins it all the job is unequivocally theirs until further notice.
I'm going to enjoy all off-season and next season regardless but I know that we have an owner and a fan base that won't just award a job to a QB unchallenged until their a champion.
We won 12 straight but we're home now and we enjoyed this year but we know the job was not done and I felt like dirt a couple weeks ago. As a result we have a QB competition on our hands and right now Trey Lance is up first on deck

Exactly. I want to see it happen. I want us to render the NFL and any officiating crew powerless to stop anything we are bringing to the field on Sundays

This is just as much of a fail as Mac's sophomore campaign because The CMC/Kittle references were in comparison to Purdy,....u know,....a guy that plays on the same team with the same roster?
Context should matter,...right? How hopeful are you about Mac's new OC that you gleefully mentioned a couple weeks ago? Don't know if I've ever seen you that excited here on the forum.

Why do some of you keep saying people want him to fail? It's not that we want him to fail. We just don't want to continue to live on hopes and prayers.
The same people who keep using that nonsense are the same ones that continue to talk about how many more reps Brock has then him. Trey can't make those reps up. They're gone. The likelihood of Trey having this offense look as good as Purdy had it looking are very slim. Especially considering how far behind Trey is.
Brock had Kyle's offense looking the best it's looked since Matt Ryan's MVP season. Brock is Barely 5 months older than Trey. So why not continue to develop the guy you know can run the offense at a higher level instead of hoping?
Throw in Trey's 5th year option decision on the horizon....

That's the benchmark for our team.
How long have you been a fan here? Jed canned Harbaugh because he made it clear that three NFCCG and a Super Bowl appearance added zero Lombardi trophies to the lobby case display
We drafted Trey because we were telling Jimmy G that NFCCG and a Super Bowl appearance where we ran our way into the big game wasn't good enough
We are now telling you fans that we are not GIVING QB1 PERMANENTLY to anyone until they add that Lombardi ,otherwise given two good options there's gonna be a QB competition!
I know I've been personally ADAMANT about that the whole time. Had Brock won it all then we would tell Trey Lance to hold that clipboard and do what Brock has done and tear it up on scout team Vs our number one defense and get great
Brock didn't win due to health and he won't prepare this offseason to be QB1 due to health and him being unavailable until at least preseason game 3 in which I doubt he'd even play. That's the final game and the conclusion of training camp so Brock will be working to get into game shape so IF
Trey ain't giving us what we need to see come the bye week Purdy will be reinserted. I don't get why the math ain't mathing for some?

Haha again,...the issue is we've seen how excited you get over utter failures that have actually shown us they are failures by actually playing.
So we know what you're up to, no matter how many times you repeat the same line about how you "cheer" for the guy. It's very evident that you cheer harder for guys on other teams.
There is clear excitement you have in waiting for the day you can fully say Trey was a "waste" of 3 1sts,....while holding out hope that Mac's new OC steers him in a better direction.
C'mon man,...stop the passive-aggressive acting job.

I'm glad we didn't give up all those picks for a guy that obviously has zero tools or abilities to be the game breaker required of such a move to be made to go up and get him
I was content to select Mac Jones at 12 however because I knew we had Jimmy he could learn behind for a year and an elite roster to support him and a brilliant coach but when we moved up the first thing I said was this better be Justin Fields or Trey Lance

SB is every teams ultimate goal. I should say most teams. I think there are a few that really don't care.
Either way, I don't need to see a QB shred through top defenses in playoffs in route to a SB win to Know that a QB is good. Josh Allen and Burrow come to mind.
I know SBs are hard to come by. We should know hat more than others as we have been there at the steps and haven't been able to close the deal for a multitude of reasons.
I think Jed knows that now after the Harbaugh situation and will not repeat it with Kyle.

We've been "able" to....it just didn't happen.

I just take it as projection on their behalf. They most likely have been rooting against Jimmy for the past few years and believe everyone is that way about Lance.
I have always stated that that I support whoever gets this teams wins.

Got a better version of Mac Jones at 262. Better arm, better mobility, better character.
Swinging for the home run with the possibility of a K beats a bunt with 2 strikes with the possibility of a K.

Yeah I said that. For a multitude of reasons.
