Now that Bobby Slowik is the OC in Houston, would you trade Trey Lance for their #2 overall pick??

I'd do it in a heartbeat then turn that pick into Jalen Carter of Georgia!!

No chance anybody would trade the #2 overall pick for this. Nobody would pick him #3 overall except us.

Atlanta/Panthers would've taken him if we didn't.

Already proven ATL was in in Pitts the whole time.

How could that be proven?

Their war room clips

Though I probably shouldn't use the term proven

I can't understand how people are so impatient and reactionary. I really have no clue who Trey the QB is. And honestly, none of us do. The only people who might have an idea are the players and coaches he's with every day. Let's exercise some patience and root for all of our players to succeed. Or we can continue to be reactionary toddlers.

Honestly, none of us really know what kind of QB Trey really is because Kyle's play calling is so different and crappy when Trey is out there. All that QB designed run stuff is trash. Trey is not Lamar Jackson, he should be used like a big arm QB that can scramble when he needs to like Herbert or Mahomes but not the type of guy you design runs for like he's Taysom Hill.
I expect the opposite.

It depends how the surgery and recovery go. If Brock is ready at the start of the season he's the starter.

The math ain't mathing

If Brock has NO offseason and is trying to whoop himself back into playing shape and we've already spent the entire offseason prepping for Trey under center as QB1 then Trey is under center week 1 until at least the bye week

Theres just NO WAY Brock can jump Trey unless Trey screws up the off-season. That ain't likely happening

Now if Trey ain't it by the bye week, THATS when I expect Brock to take over. Now we're getting to to stages of the flat earth proponents

Expect to lose a lot of games and have a high draft pick if Trey is the starter for the first half of the season.

Exactly. Herbert Mahomes or Josh Allen. Yes sprinkle in some read option with some prime Russell Wilson elements but we don't spend that kinda draft currency to use the guy like RG3
Hurts is showing that the dual threat and RPOs can be unstoppable UNLESS you're playing our defense when we have a capable QB to keep our defense off the field when the officials want to call penalties on third and long

Hurts is the dream of drafting a Trey Lance and it took three years to realize this level of championship play
When you have a QB that's a threat to run you just run teams outta the building!

I'm just reporting what I'm seeing. I believe we had the best OL in the NFL in 2011 but I didn't see us move the ball like this!

Trey throws incomplete and loses games. He will get popped by week 2 on a fullback dive up the middle anyway. We will be down to Josh Johnson or somebody.

That was my comp this yr, Lance could become a hurts like QB early in his career…people in here hated it (if he's Hurts it's a waste of picks lol).

read options work great if the QB can read everything perfectly. RPOs are just another form of PA, just ran quicker (obviously it's an option for the QB).

this offense would be f**king wild if we ran more read options. We have all the play makers to make defenses have a real problem defending it.
