Hurts is the dream of drafting a Trey Lance and it took three years to realize this level of championship play

Yet but Shanny would look at that long bomb to Brown and call it a 50/50 play and not worth his time then counter it with a Deebo inside run. We'll see how things play out but Shanny just might be more comfortable with a guy running his system.

Out of bounds
Pretty obvious with the direction the league has gone that our defense won't be able to carry our team to a championship. So thrilled we have two capable quarterbacks!

Easier said than done. Particularly if your "dual threat" QB is as mobile as your FB.

Have you not seen our fullback? Man!

That was my comp this yr, Lance could become a hurts like QB early in his career…people in here hated it (if he's Hurts it's a waste of picks lol).

read options work great if the QB can read everything perfectly. RPOs are just another form of PA, just ran quicker (obviously it's an option for the QB).

this offense would be f**king wild if we ran more read options. We have all the play makers to make defenses have a real problem defending it.

yup

Kyle chose Trey remember ?

You have to have a QB that can do it all and keep the sticks moving or else you're gonna get SMOKED in these games. This is why Shanahan made the trade he made!

Meh, bunch of dudes on a message board know way more than Shanahan.

I think it hit home when we played KC in that Super Bowl and we lost to Mahomes. That is when Kyle realized that he can't scheme his way to a chip no matter we had the best defense in the game and weapons on offense and good coaching. He saw that a super star QB like Mahomes can make it all go away in in instant and he saw Jimmy G wilt and that is when it started to sink in that we had to have a super star under center in order to compete in today's game

Disagree, but only slightly. Kyle KNOWS how great he can scheme, and I love it. Coach needs confidence even more than the QB, but he realized he needed a guy who can execute his plays, and do it on a regular basis. Kyle moved to replace Jimmy because he KNOWS what his play designs can do, but they weren't being done. I think Brock only scratched the surface, but if Trey can live up to what excited Kyle so much about him, his offense will LITERALLY be unstoppable.

Trey isn't Hurts. Sorry.

Trey is a linebacker.
