I'd do it in a heartbeat then turn that pick into Jalen Carter of Georgia!!

No I would not. Now if Houston wants to offer 3 firsts, 3 2nds, and 3 3rds I'll listen :).

Maybe … and I still wouldn't do it!
Lance is the Niners future at QB. He's absolutely worth being the 3rd pick, because that's where he was picked. Actions speak louder than words.
Now give the man the chance to show why he was picked so high. Stop with the stupidity. Stop with the "he can't" or "he won't" or "let's trade him now for whatever we can get". Just stop it! YOU DON'T KNOW!!
Obviously, the coaches and FO have an idea. That's why they're there. That's why they're paid. Give them the chance to make their case. If they cannot, then why don't you talk about trading them? Because obviously they would have demonstrated that they don't know wtf they're doing.

He was given the starting job this past season and got hurt. Dude is proving he's just as injury prone as Jimmy. And what is it that makes him worth three 1st round picks or the 3rd overall pick??

Kyle could probably answer that question better than a bunch of dudes on a message board.

Trey worked with the same QB coach that Hurts worked with in Quincy Avery

Avery also worked with Tyrod Taylor, Dwayne Haskins & Joshua Dobbs

Taylor is a career backup, which there is no shame in.. everyone isn't going to be elite.

Trey should definitely be on the Hurts training program. Hopefully his game can progress the same way.

Thought Allen was the goal. Are we pivoting now? I will say no matter what, I don't expect Trey to become a turnover machine.

Not pivoting at all. Allen isn't the only guy who has improved his accuracy. I'm all for Hurts or Allen. I specifically named Hurts b/c Trey is working with Quincy Avery. The same guy Hurts worked with on his mechanics and accuracy. And Hurts has definitely improved his accuracy. Trey's size, and running style is definitely more like Allen's than Hurts.

Fwith enough. One interesting thing is I think Trey's running was unfairly knocked like he was a statue. He isn't elite, but isn't a poor runner either. Getting over 4 yards per carry is pretty good, just not among the best. I think Trey would excel running against man and when the rushes lanes open up.

Yea I saw nothing @ all special about Hurts last year. Wouldn'tve wanted him at all.

But....that's the difference a year can make.

I like Hurts but I'm still hoping for more of a Josh Allen. Hurts had a very similar SB to Kap (minus the sneak TDs) against an easier defense and with better weapons. He played really well, but I'm not ready to put him on the Burrow/Allen level yet

You didn't see anything special about his running ability? He's been special in that department since the moment he took the field in the NFL.

Trey was indecisive when he ran. I expect him to be better and more decisive going forward. If you're gonna run then take off and when you first anticipate taking a hit you immediately slide just as we saw with Geno Smith. Don't try to be a FB!

Hurts would've had a final chance if not for a suspect PI call on third and long
Trey lance can run better than Jalen hurts.

Yayyyy! I'm so excited it's offseason! I wonder which team is going to win the best grade in offseason?

My guess is HOU
Houston are not stupid enough to trade the #2 pick for Trey. Take that thought, bottle it, throw it in the ocean, maybe it will give someone shipwrecked on a remote island a good laugh one day.

So? He said Lance needs to be on the Hurts program and I pointed out they worked with the same QB coach at one point. Watson also worked with him (funny you left that one out). Lance has worked with multiple QB programs.
