I guess it depends on how you define stud. I will widen my definition to fit your argument.

Any system
Garappolo
Mahomes
Burrow
Herbert

Right system

Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
Jalen Hurts
Tua
Kyler Murray

Who else do you consider studs? I personally stop at top 4.

You likely are going to post guys with stud potential. But are they really studs?

Fixed

You ain't even spelt it right

You didn't even spell it right

You left out the period.

Same one who also helped Hurts and Watson. We get it you're gonna do whatever you can do disprove Lance having any chance to be a good QB…all while s**tting on the creditably of a well respected QB coach who knows a hell of a lot more than you when it comes to playing the QB position

QB is the most important position in the game. If you hit it you're in a great spot for 10+ years. If you don't you're going to keep taking shots until you hit.

I'd much rather make a move like we did for a prospect like Trey Lance who can be surrounded by great offensive coaching and talent vs trading what we did to acquire over the hill OJ Simpson. Ended up giving away #1 overall pick and as a result likely led to us drafting Joe Montana.

Yea that's what ESPN keeps telling us.

We've been in three of four NFCCG and a Super Bowl. I'd say we've had success either way Trey pans out

Chad Henne did lead the Chiefs to a playoff win vs CLE. Mahomes got knocked out. Here was the takeaway:

But in Kansas City's case, it was Henne or bust those visions of a repeat Super Bowl crown.

Henne made two spectacular plays in crunch time — and a few others before that — to help seize a 22-17 victory against the Cleveland Browns that allows Kansas City to become the first team to host the AFC Championship game for a third consecutive season.

Henne also led KC on a 98 yard TD drive vs JAX this past postseason.. why do you say the scheme didn't work with Henne? He didn't play much but he marched up and down vs playoff teams when he did..

A whole drive. Well that seals it. Trade Mahomes now.

Why pay 40 mil a year when they can have a scheme fit with Henne right?

Plus Kolb doesn't exactly fit the same profile as McNabb or Mahomes or Vick so one has to wonder if he was a scheme fit to begin with.

Reid came from the WCO. How did Kolb not fit that better than a Nabby Vick or Mahomes? Big arms with work to do on accuracy don't fit the WCO I've been told.

This thread should be shutdown until the kid has a chance to perform on the field. He has not really had that opportunity yet. We are lucky to have Trey and Brock and now we can dump jimmy. New blood new energy. Lets get 6.

Cane from maybe. But not the offense I seen ran or see being ran now

To be fair, McNabb is exactly my projection for Trey here.

I will also add, look at McNabbs his 1 year with T.O. and the rest of his career. Took a big jump that one year with T.O. just like Josh Allen's didn't look good until he git Stefon Diggs. Just like this year Hurts didn't look good until AJ Brown. Look at Rodgers after he lost Adams

But keep telling me how important those QBs are.

Can we move on. I'm really not in the mood to waste another 2-3 years and waste this ready now roster watching this kid develop. It was a stupid move to begin with, with this roster, and it's proven even more so as time has passed. Even if this kid develops he will be ready for a big contract. Didn't make sense then and doesnt't make sense now.

What kind of a response did you expect there lol? You really though you were gonna be taken serious with that post?

Of course QB is the most important position, it's not even up for debate.

If you wanna talk a group as a whole, it would be the dline. But TJ Watt and the Steelers will never be an actual contender if they can't get at least above average QB play.

Your last line is my point. Above average. That is all you need from the QB position. Run your team's offense and take care of the football. All you need from the QB position to give yourself a chance.

You need other pieces around him just as you would need around the QBs that play at an even higher level. Once they start getting paid though it becomes even harder.

And that's why the QB is the most important position

You can have an all world defense but if you don't have at least an above average QB, like Jimmy for example that can at least be somewhat productive and efficient, you're a fringe playoff team best case scenario (like the Steelers have been over the past handful of years now) and definitely not a contender.

Especially with how the game is now, there really is no such thing as an elite defense anymore. It used be the case that most often than not an elite defense would win out against an elite offense. Now the opposite is
true.

In the end you can still have a great defense if one or two of your DL players isn't that good or DB or LB, but if you don't have a good QB, the offense will never be good, let alone great.

So ya there shouldn't be any debate at all that QB isn't the most important position on the field.

Anyone saying QB isn't the most important position in sports shouldn't be taken seriously.
