QB philosophy has DEFINITELY been our major differences. All good though

Shave another half off of that and we can talk.

IOW,...you are hoping and praying that virtually NO ONE wants Jimmy, and/or you're hungry for a player that doesn't really care to start. Imagine that?

What?

It wont matter who's the "starter". Jimmy would start at least six games for us next year. That's if brock is not sore in september.

I'll repeat,...he's GONE. Only way he's back is if no one wants him. That's what you're hopeful for? LoL.

I agree you can't have too many developmental qb's on the roster -- there should be an nfl roster exemption for qb's -- but you also can't bet the farm on busts like jamarcus or leaf or rosen etc etc. That's not gonna work out either.

I can't see him getting $15M unless it's a big deal that has a lower cap hit this yr.

spotrac has him at 4 yrs $139M

really. I didn't see that. wow.

we're f*kd.

Man, you might be the most negative poster on this board. It's f**king February. Calm down.

There's no plan b. Draft another purdy. That's plan b.

I don't see Jimmy getting that at all. If someone is dumb enough to do what we did then
And good luck getting one healthy season out of it

I highly doubt that happens. But you never know I'm this league. Other fan bases are at us for using 3 first and a 3rd on a project QB with a SB ready team .

Were they still laughing when they saw our third string QB that we spent a 7th round last pick in the draft take this team further then theirs went anyways?

This. Should've drafted Mac Jones or signed Jimmy to a 10 year extension.

🤣

Pats aren't one of the teams laughing.

Oh Jimmy G will get a lot. Teams are QB desperate. He's a proven winner. Not many stars available. The salary cap increased. You will be surprised.

There's no plan b. Draft another purdy. That's plan b.

Or, I don't know, let's see how a) Purdy's surgery goes and b) how Trey progresses. Or we can keep being toddlers who are unable to react to anything without the most dramatic take possible.
We beat DAL 19-12. At home. Brock did great NOT turning the ball get as Dak did and he converted multiple third downs time and time again as we fought tooth and nail just to score in the game after being given the ball off turnovers. Good job by the rookie

Fast forward to the Super Bowl where I saw both QBs going up and down the field. Up and down the field . Not at home but in Arizona. I didn't see the punter or I can't remember seeing one in the second half

When I saw Hurts and Mahomes I saw a stark contrast to what we were doing against DAL at home. I knew right then that Purdy was good but so was Jimmy. The stats were identical with Purdy and Jimmy but I believe Purdy was still a bit better especially as a rookie

That said. We need great to win against these guys. We need a big arm. We need a QB with legs. We need offensive aggression and a relentless guy under center that can break defenses. We need to train Trey up and then offensively impose our will upon defenses

19 points won't cut it against these teams in those games. I know Brock is better than 19 points because I have seen him in the shootout vs Vegas but I have maintained that Brock needed to beat Hurts and Mahomes to take the anointing off Trey Lance. Injury robbed him of that chance and here we have Trey getting healthy again so that he now has the chance to show us he can beat Hurts and Mahomes because that is what we need!

We don't need good. We need great! I'm not trying to like my QB or prefer my QB. I want to win it all. I want to leave no doubt that we have a guy that can score and march the ball up and down the field with his arms and his legs that can render inferior defenses to ours useless in the big game

This is what I want and by spending three firsts. This is what Kyle wants

What Brock did is more than enough to start over Trey at this point. Saying that he had to beat Mahomes in his rookie year was just setting the bar so high for a rookie that he would likely fail (and you knew that).

We were the #1 offense with Brock, and a lot of his individual numbers were ridiculous. It's going to be hard to improve on that. If Trey doesn't come in and have the offense at that level, it's Brock's team when he's healthy

I mean tossing out #1 offense without talking about the defenses they played during that stretch is silly.

I could make an argument that the only real D they played was Dallas. TB was a shell of their past D. Seattle's D was nothing special. Raiders blow. Miami's D stunk. AZ's sucks especially in W18. DC is the only other legit D on that list.

Brock played who he played and did well. Not taking anything away from him. It was pretty special to see that from a 7th rd rookie. I don't see him as some elite level QB in the league for the next decade. Would love to be wrong about it…Lance does have the ability to do things he simply can't. Doesn't mean he will ever get there BUT no one will know until he actually gets to play legit football.

personally I don't care if it's Lance or Brock. I want an upper echelon QB here though. I don't want Jimmy G 2.0 level QB play all over again.
