Very true!

The narrative surrounding both our young qbs is hilarious.....one is joe Montana/pah Mahomes and the other is a draft bust after 4 starts. Hmmmm, what's really going on with our fanbase? The same thing that's going on in America and all over the world, pay attention.

Dude it's insane.

Its also par for the course.

where did you hear Brock was inferior to Geno and Dak in the playoffs??

Didnt play much against Eagles, so we'll never know about that one,

That's what I heard Vs Dak and Hurts. Even Geno was praised because he was a pro bowler but they pop poo'd Brock's accomplishments because of his lowly measurables as if they'd not watched any games. Brock won the first two and didn't get a chance to win two more that would have shut up all detractors

Sorry I don't think you can toss our prime Montana or calling him the best QB in the league when he played. But yes that means I'm not excited to see him play, clearly derp.

There's some really f**king dumb posts in here. Wayyyy more than there needs to be imo.

Kinda like nobody needs to say they are rooting for Trey to fail.

Calling Brock prime Montana and the best QB in the league

Here you are misrepresenting my arguments again.

In the limited time Brock played, his play was on par with HOF quality QB play. That's evident by a 111 passer rating, 4:1 TD-INT ratio, QBR, efficiency stats, etxmc. Extrapolate his level of play over an entire career and he'd be among the best QBs is ever. Obviously, and I shouldn't have to say this, it's an incredibly small sample size and drawing any definitive conclusions is absurd. I have done no such thing. I have only claimed that his NFL tape so far is elite, albeit a very limited look.

i never said he was the best QB in the league. You're building a straw man instead of arguing the actual points. It's bad faith and shows an inability to be reasonable, despite your claims of objectiveness. Again, while Brock was under center, he was among the best performing QBs in the league. The stats back that up. The eye test backs that up. That doesn't mean he's the best QB in the league. He'll need to sustain that level of play for multiple seasons before that's even an argument worth having.

If they're wearing a Niners jersey I want them to win. I think a healthy Brock would give me the best chance to win today in this moment but I have a sneaky feeling if I can get Trey up to speed I could win it all time and time again. I was hoping I'd be saying that about Brock definitively after his Super Bowl win this season but as of right now I want them to compete and push each other and for one of them to win it all or both for all I care if it falls that way

I want good problems by seasons end

Brock out played both Geno and Dak. I haven't heard otherwise, until now lol

didnt get a chance vs Eagles to out play Hurts.

All I've seen in the media is praise for what Brock Purdy did last season. The only detractors I've come across are in here. Saying what he did last season didn't mean jack s**t because he didn't light up the playoffs and win the SB lol

You wish. But I just saw the Super Bowl and we could use a guy like Trey to win those games

Outside of arm strength, I'd say Purdy is more similar to Mahomes than Trey is

Uh no.

Uh ya

Drastic difference between not being excited and actually rooting for a niner player to fail. C'mon now lol

I genuinely don't care who the QB is. You can dig through every post, I've never had a negative thing to say about Trey before this season. It's his play that has me down on him.

Im in wait and see mode on both these guys, but any unbiased person would be more excited with Brock than Trey at this point

Look, you are doing the sane thing with Brock as you did McCorkle. You keep telling us you're OK with em. But your posts really don't match that.

You eventually admitted that you wanted no parts of McCorkle. You would be best served jusr admitting that you just want Trey.

As for the Montana comparisons. Come on Bro, us anti Lance guys had to hear the Mahomes/Allen talk for a couple years now. Those talks were just as ridiculous.

Game awareness (when to get down, throw it away, etc), accuracy, playmaking, pocket awareness, processing (getting through his progressions), release, poise.

Purdy is ahead of Trey in all of these categories and I probably missed some

You can repeat this over and over and they're still going to twist it into something it's not.

I agree, based on tape and metrics, Brock was playing like a top tier QB. Could he maintain it, we'll see. But what he did last season is already written and backs up what your saying.
