How would Jimmy when he was drafted stack vs. this rook class?

That's even more interesting.

The 2021 QB draft class was looked at as much better than this one. Also the Covid combine was different with a ton of guys doing just pro-days.

Jimmy would be an undrafted FA.

Ahh gotcha. Who knows I do think Lance fits what they want

Both are seen as projects. Richardson wins with the physical tools but this is the most I've heard on the mental side. No brain scan results yet. Lance did pretty well on all of that so that, so maybe that wins out for Shanahan

Trey is more on the Will Levis side with the physical tools. Same size, same arm talent, same athletic ability, which damn good across the board.

Richardson is more in the Cam Newton mold imo. Physical freak with a cannon. Hard to gauge the football stuff with that FL offense.

Right now nobody knows what he is to be fair but what we've seen when healthy hasn't looked all that great or promising. I mean he played a handful of FCS games is all. Really needs to work on mechanics. His pocket poise is suspect and can't even make the simple throws half the time

Still spreading false narratives in this thread.

You know damn well Trey doesn't run a 4.9. It's s**t posts like this that incites stupidity in this thread.

Lance hasn't run an official 40 yard dash. Hr didn't run one at his pro day or at the combine. He was clocked at 31.5 MPH on a TD run si that means he's got good speed. His trainer says he has clocked him in the mid 4.5s during workouts. I don't know where thise ESPN numbers came from but they aren't correct. 4.92 would be as slowa sJG and there's no way he's not faster than Jimmy.

I think you meant 21.5 MPH.

Right. My bad. 31.5 would be faster than Bolt.

Haha. I was going to say, that is faster than anyone in the NFL.

People get too hung up on the 40 yard dash anyway. That 10 yard split seems to be a better stat to look for when evaluating an NFL prospect. Jerry Rice didn't have blazing speed but he could burn the best of them. I think Jerry said it was his first 5 steps that were the most crucial.

The combine workouts often cause too many teams to get excited over a player based on the numbers. I won't say the numbers and workouts are without merit but I still like looking at game film more.

Players train and often trim some weight to run a fast 40. I agree that it doesn't mean a lot when they run out of a starting position without football gear. The GPS speed that they can now track during actual games means more.

I have no idea how good Lance is because he really hasn't played much.
