I have seen Trey fit the ball into some tight windows (between 3 defenders). I have seen him escape pressure and make some great plays with his legs as well as his arm. His pressure to sack rate is the lowest on this team (11.9%) out of any QB since he was drafted. He is intelligent, humble and has all the physical tools to make it in this league. Saying he hasn't done anything in those 4 games is a load of crap.

Anyone trying to label Lance good or bad after 100 sporadic passing attempts…Has alternative motives.

Especially tossing out Sam Darnold WK1 starter takes lol…you couldn't find a worse QB with as many starts as he has, to hitch your wagon to…maybe they shouldn't make it so blatantly obvious with how bias they are

Krizay is the one who brought up race. I simple suggested the dislike was beyond football. That could be for religious reasons, personality, the school he went to, etc. Again, I find it hard to believe that the hatred is football related after only 4 games.

I've seen race specifically be suggested as the reason for his "hate". I do see a lot of correlation between Jimmy/Alex fans and Kap/Trey fans but that can be attributed to play styles.

Some people really love the purgatory checkdown kings put you in because their efficiency stats look pretty. I personally don't enjoy the checkdown purgatory, but I still don't see it in Trey.

I look at the 4 games and there's nothing there that says he's going to be worth 3 firsts. How many greats went 4 games showing nothing special? I watch the interviews and the way teammates talk about him. Kyles play calling when he's in. His offseason and play against preseason defenses/backups. There's so much saying he's not ready, and on a team that is ready that won't fly

They weren't what they are now, but I think Hurts and Allen showed more than Trey in their first 4 starts. I remember people grabbing Hurts in fantasy after his first or second start because he was showing production. He definitely showed more than Trey in the beginning.

The things I see from Trey are things I've seen Zach Wilson do. A couple nice plays a game surrounded by awful play

First 4 games of extended play.

Jalen Hurts- 53.6% completion, 7.7 YPA, 6 passing TD's, 3 INT's and a 81.1 passer rating.

Josh Allen- 53.4% completion, 6.5 YPA, 2 passing TD's, 4 INT's and a 67.0 passer rating.

Trey Lance- 54.1% completion, 7.8 YPA, 4 passing TD's, 3 INT's and a 85.5 passer rating.

Where exactly were Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen that much better in their first 4 games of extended play?
Lance needs to start week 1. No darnold. Please. That would be an absolute nightmare.

Lance was drafted to be the guy. I have always had my doubts about him but this is his chance. He needs to prove me and his doubters wrong.

Right? Steve McNair and McNabb were two other QBs that he got comped to…check out their first couple games in the NFL.

I didn't say extended play. You also have to watch the games. Treys stats look comparable but he was saved by some wide open Deebo plays that don't impress me at all. We all know he can make a throw to a wide open player downfield.

You are also leaving out rushing production. I just remember Jalen making some noise when he first came out because of his play. That alone tells me he showed more than Trey to start.

When I say extended play. I mean that I excluded the first set of games that only included a snap or two per game. Trey had 2 of those games and Josh and Jalen had a handful before they saw extended playing time.

Sure. Josh and Jalen never had wide open receivers during their first 4 games. Only Trey did. Also, you are ignoring the tight window and sideline throws that Trey has made. I am sure Jalen and Josh had some of those as well. So stop acting like Trey had it so much easier than they did to start their careers. Nothing Trey has shown has been any worse than those guys and he has the same tools mentally as well as physically.

The thing with Trey is his numbers literally depend on those plays. It would look pathetic without them honestly. I don't ignore the tight window throws just like nobody ignored Zach Wilson's. The body of work speaks for itself so far

It sure does. And it is no different than Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen early in their careers. Using examples of Deebo being wide open twice as a way to downplay my comparison while assuming Jalen and Josh never had those same benefits is misleading. It makes me wonder if you even watched those first 4 games of Hurts and Allen. Because if you haven't than your argument is invalid.

Part of the Trey Lance package is the ability to get a splash TD when the defense stops the play provided by KS.

1 TD is all you need when paired with an elite defense.

We know that pain first hand from the SF v SEA heavyweight fights and RW doing his magic BS at the end.

What would Jimmy's numbers look like without those wide open receivers coming across the middle 5 or 10 yards upfield and the YAC that often followed. All teams that have an offense similar to the 49ers rely a lot on the short passing game.

His 1st start, Jalen was 17/30, 56.7% completion, 167 yards for 5.6 YPA, 1 TD, 0 INT's and a passer rating of 83.6. Man he looked great.

I did watch them play, Hurts more than Allen. You can't take a couple throws away from them and watch their numbers nosedive across the board like treys. Here's an example of how they were talking about Hurts after his first starts. He was better than Trey to start no question

After leading his team to an impressive upset in his debut as a starter, Hurts put up an even more impressive performance in Week 15, albeit ending in a loss. His stat line of 338 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, 63 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown was good for the QB1 performance on the week and the fifth-best quarterback performance of the year!

I said he looked "far more polished as a player" than a raw project. Thanks for twisting my words though. Still looked better than Trey Lance in his first start that's for sure.
