So we agree you aren't rooting for Trey to succeed. Ergo you are rooting for

No it's like when you're a teenager and you wanna trade in that new car your dad just got you but he won't do it cause he'll be upside down in payments.

It's the reality. Just admit you want him to fail so you can be right. That's what you are rooting for.

It has nothing to do with Lance and everything to do with Jimmy'.

Oh I know it does. Brock is now the convenient excuse for those guys.

Again if Brock is as great as he showed in his time as the starter he will beat Trey out. So where is the downside? Two young cheap QB's kicking ass this year would get us potential nice trade compensation in 24.

They want so bad to be proven right. Like that amounts to anything in here or for the franchise. I've never seen a kid get so much hate for literally no reason. It's pretty disgusting actually.

Jimmy has far more stats that get overlooked or isn't credible because of who you guys portray him to be.

No need to portray anything. Jimmy got 8 years to prove his worth. Trey completed 3 games and you would "love to trade him".

Oh no, so with people saying he didn't do s**t during his Super Bowl in 2019 his 3900 yards passing with a 69% cmp% is credible then?? What was all that b******t about air yards??

Trey Lance was a project that wasn't worth the trade up for let alone three 1st round picks. I wasn't a fan from the start. The sooner they can move on from the injury prone project the sooner we can concentrate on one QB. Until then it's always gonna be a wait and see filled with a ton of exhausting excuses when things don't go right. You people already wanted Shanahan fired for running Trey up the middle. Josh Allen does the same s**t and isn't that who we drafted him to be?? No, then WTF did they draft him for???

Lol… at least you admit your bias.

For the record I never cared about air yards. I did care about the ability to attack all parts of the field, which I feel Purdy and Lance both have the ability to do so.

I don't hate Jimmy like you hate Lance. I felt that this team needed an upgrade over Jimmy to win it all. Because Kyle isn't perfect, the offensive line will never be perfect, and I liked the idea of having a cheap QB room which we're benefiting from currently (Javon Hargrave). Purdy showed last season what this offense it truly capable of and Lance has just as much raw ability but hasn't proved anything yet.

It's odd to me that some want Trey to fail so much since he's only 22 and his success could lead to a long term franchise QB or some trade compensation.

OK so I want Trey Lance to fail and I hate Trey Lance. I could've sworn there was a difference between hate and criticism and I thought it made clear in the Jimmy thread. So I don't like the trade, didn't think he was worth the picks and don't wanna deal with excuses if he struggles or fails AND THAT'S HATE???

Got damn you people are contradicting yourselves.

Lol… saying you're not a fan is not criticism. The term "hate" gets thrown around constantly, I've been called a hater for saying Jimmy's not a top 10 QB. If saying you're not a fan and want him off the team without seeing him play half a season isn't hate then it shouldn't be applied anywhere. If so, I take it back. You just don't like him.

And again, wanting to trade Trey with his dead cap is counterproductive. Which again, you don't factor in because, to you, it's more important to get him off the team.

There's nothing wrong with not believing in Trey. I don't blame anyone for that. But it's highly hypocritical to say you want to get rid of Trey immediately then cry about unfairness for other QBs.

All I want is for the team to win a SB. Whether that's with Purdy or Lance. It does not matter to me.

Again and again, I would love for them to trade Trey Lance but the reality of things is that they won't. I've stated that many times.

If Lance went on a 8 game winning streak when he was a rookie, we wouldn't be here. Instead the kid showed he's just as injury prone as the QB he's replacing and looks like a project. That s**t is frustrating either way you slice it.

So why argue then, to just be snarky, put the poster down, laugh at him, what?? You people just automatically say I want him to fail and believe it.

But but but Sam Darnold!? He's better for sure and will be the WK1 starter. He just needs to be on a better team. Never mind the 50+ starts and horrible QB play for 5 straight yrs. He deserves a chance to compete. He just needs to develop properly.

Lol you keep telling yourself that. You calling out Lance's "easy plays" then have no issue how protection was gotten for other QBs. I watched Hurts vs AZ his "highlights" were a f**k ton of dump off screens, 50/50 slot fades and one read throws to wide open receivers.

if Lance did that you'd be calling it out. I know for a FACTS you didn't watch early Josh Allen games with the nonsense you've been saying.

I was talking in the sense of QB styles at that point. You are taking it out of context lol. And honestly Allen looked like a beast from the moment he stepped on the field compared to Trey. He wasn't a great passer but he made Trey look like he doesn't belong as a rusher

And others have stated to you many times that doing so would hurt the 49ers financially to do so. Therefore, you are intentionally rooting for something that will harm the franchise.

The only reason you'd desire to trade him at his lowest point is you anticipate failure. Couple that with admitting you never wanted him so yah there is no other conclusion to come to.

Naw I'm just tryna get my point across, it's you people who post get all sensitive when someone is not a fan of the QB. Tell me were you a fan of Kwame Harris, how about Anthony Clement, why didn't you give Kevan Barlow more of a chance and so on....

Then wouldn't I just want him cut?? If I wanted him to fail??

FTR I was never a fan of the Colin Kaepernick pick, but never wanted him to fail. I didn't think he was gonna workout, I was wrong he looked really good during the Super Bowl years.

That is what is so maddening. There is no consistency in standards.

Because you do want him to fail…you've villainized Lance because of Jimmy and how people criticize him after 7 years in the league.

you would rather trade him for nothing then let the kid have a chance to be good and develop. Like Steve said you never wanted him and you created an unlikely scenario that he had to nail out of the park to backtrack your stance.
