7.7 YPA
2 TD's
4 fumbles

They both were and are better rushers than Trey. Stats don't tell you how hard Trey gets hit and his uncanny ability to come up a yard short

Yes. Currently they are better rushers. But they weren't in their first 4 games.

Have you not watched lance run? Stats in 4 games don't tell you anything. Watch the film. The guy gets compared to full backs lmao

Most likely Trey will start the season and fans who dislike Trey can't accept that.

He's only going to miss a couple games. No big deal. He started mid season as a 7 round pick with nearly no reps and shined. He's going to be just fine.

Lance is a god awful runner. Lol anyone who thinks he can run like Murray, Lamar, hurts, etc are out of their mind. They're just looking at him on paper.

Lance runs super stiff; or it at least looks like it. I say it all the time and people make jokes, which says a lot lol, but Lance isn't very elusive or agile. He's just fast in a straight line and when you're playing scrubs in college - you can do that.

purdys hilarious high step is much for effective than Lance when running. Lol

Thank you. I don't get how he can't tell who's better. Just watch lol

Tbh, I don't like having any of our QBs run the ball outside of unique situations like a qb sneak. I think Lance is better off throwing from the pocket, which is what he should be. It's not a bad thing. I think it's dumb to continually run your qb on designed plays.

i also wouldn't want Lamar, murray, or hurts as our QB. I honestly prefer a qb who plays more traditional qb and dominates with their mind, pocket presence, prep, anticipation, leadership, throws. Etc.

He has also played some good football when he finally had a HC that knew what he was doing and created a positive environment. I put a lot of faith in the fact that CMC and Wilks had a first hand look at him. Had they shared the same overall negativity that you expressed, he wouldn't be here.

When did he play good football? He had one good game vs a horrible Tampa team. Dude was still wildly inaccurate and can't see the field…like at all.

Easy TD if he has more velocity

he's not good….he's the opposite of a rhythm thrower. His footwork is trash in that department. He can't see the field well and doesn't throw with anticipation at all. He can move/be used in the bootleg game. Outside of that it ain't pretty.

I'm sure CMC will say he's a good locker room guy.

I never said Trey was some great runner. My point has been that it is premature to give up on Trey after just 4 games. I backed my opinion up with evidence demonstrating that Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts first 4 games were no more productive than Trey Lance's first 4 games. Their supporting casts were patient with them and allowed them to grow into the players they are today. They did not start off as elite QB's in this league. They grew into it.

I agree with most of this. Especially the last line. Purdy appears to be a better runner, better off schedule. Everything but QB sneak.

This is what boggles my mind as to the hesitancy of preferring Purdy to Trey. Brock is doing exactly what everyone wants from Trey.

To me, those preferring Trey to Brock are the ones who would rather be right.

No he's isn't lol.

Who the f**k said he can run like Murray and Lamar? There isn't a single person saying that…so why bring it up? Hurts is a good runner based of being good at running read options. He's not some Uber athletic QB that is super twitchy.

He's not a horrible runner either. Not a single person was comparing him to Murray/Jackson.

What do you think Steve Wilks said about him?

Somebody on a professional level came to the conclusion he was the best option of roughly 20 others, and Kyle agreed.

Same thing. Good locker room guy and backup that isn't gonna be a cancer…So far he's got the cheapest contract (gtd cash) across the board. So "best"is a stretch, cheapest with a lot of experience sure.

Under the tutelage of Shanahan and Griese, he could become serviceable though.
