It's fine.. it's positive yardage.. but it's not anything I would put on a highlight reel, or a highlight reel play. He's gonna have to wow and win with his arm with what I am seeing of his running. And I think he can, particularly with these weapons.

Lol what? There was multiple defenders around him, no one is "shaking and baking" there. He saw the hole and ran. His issue on some of those runs previously is he's trying to follow his blockers like a running back instead of just running/scrambling.

Excellent point. I noticed that as well.

Only quarterback since 1950 to win his first five NFL starts and throw two or more touchdown passes in each game.

First rookie in NFL history with four touchdowns in a playoff game.

Most playoff passes without an interception for a rookie quarterback.

Most yards in a playoff game by a 49ers QB. since Joe.

Those are facts. No IFs, no hoping, only facts.

What does Trey have to show for?

It's still only 8 starts as great as he played. We really don't know enough about either guy yet to know who the long term future guy is. Brock has the leg up if he can return to form obviously but that's an IF at this point.

Kap showed us all why a longer sample will be required for any young 9er QB.

Brock's play could fall off but this isn't the same situation. We aren't going to be trying to switch Brock's playing style with a #1 WR that runs a 5.2 40

What was his success rate? SF overall had one of the highest success rate on QB sneaks at over 90% last yr.

No idea. But he looked horrible though

Yeah that was part of the hesitancy in his runs. He was trying to follow blockers.

Someone really said if he would or slid in the Seattle game he wouldn't have gotten hurt lol. In reality there was absolutely no way he could have slid. He was behind Trent trying to follow him and Trent blew his block. Lance would have gotten his head ripped off trying to slide right there in the trenches….that's the type of posts that drive me nuts. No nuance. None…just blatant bias takes.

Nope according to lots of people Brock is the franchise QB after a hot streak without winning a championship. We don't know what Brock would've looked like if he began the year while the offense was struggling and went 3-4 before CMC. Maybe he would've been good but it was certainly fortunate for him he got to step in when the team was rolling already during the midpoint of the season. What if Brock has hit his ceiling? It's why it's foolish to just give up on Trey right away.

Watch his ankles between the 20 yard line and 10 yard line.. he's attempting to juke the LB..

Thats one hell of a ceiling. If he maintains that ceiling even for just the next 3 years we would be rolling.

Yeah I don't get people saying he needed to slide in that play like there was no way he could've. The defender was right there in his grill.

Which is a pointless thing to point out…the LBer doesn't have to move regardless of him junking anyone. There was multiple defenders there.

You don't want him scrambling too much he only runs a 4.92 and most NFL D lineman are faster than Lance. Which kind of scrambling were you talking about?
