Go 9ers!!

You're good. Doubt = / = hate, and advocating a trade (as unrealistic as it is given the dead money) is about gaining assets to help elsewhere.

takes guts to go against the herd mentality or to voice an unpopular opinion

there are two sides to every situation

I see the reason for optimism and feel he can do it here with his arm and another offseason of putting in work, I understand the frustration also it's been a bumpy ride on the TL express so far.

I don't take it personal, we're all 9er fans here and everyone has a different opinion on how they see the 9ers.

I did think of the injury angle you're presenting here, but unless it's a serious injury I don't think you're prioritizing Brock again if Trey has played well enough to keep the job. Trey would start again as soon as he's healthy. If it is a serious injury, I don't think Trey's value goes up because he's now a QB who has suffered two major injuries in his two years starting.

This scenario again, seems to only affect a trade of Brock.

If Trey is playing like Jimmy but Brock plays like he did I absolutely think they'd stay with Brock. They would've stayed with Brock had Jimmy got healthy this year.

I see your point but I disagree.

If Trey had a 5 game run like Purdy had where he's lighting it up and winning, a team will trade for him 100%.

But we're not trading him if that happens. That's the point. If he has a 5 game run like Purdy, he's our QB1.

QB1 is a week to week term around here.. can't guarantee any of these guys will be alive much longer than that, as coach would say

There would be no criticism or complaining from me if Trey Lance had a 7 or 8 game run like Purdy. All it would mean is I was wrong about him. Who's keeping score!!!

Not necessarily, if Purdy returns after Trey has to sit... and he plays at the same level and wins it all. We're keeping Purdy.

I do agree with your earlier statement. A solid performance from Trey this season affects the probability of trading Purdy more so than Trey.

But I don't think its impossible to have a scenario where we go back to Purdy due to injury and Trey increased his trade value.

It seems funny that some of the people that were Jimmy fans and accused anyone that criticized him of being a hater, are already calling Lance a bust after 4 starts. At least most of Jimmy's detractors waited a couple seasons before they started wanting someone else.

That's 99% of the posters.

In that scenario Trey would be viewed as an injury prone player, as I highlighted earlier, and I don't think his value would increase.

Regardless, I don't view it as impossible that Trey increases his trade value and we trade him. It seems extremely unlikely at best.

Sure in the mind of NY

in reality it's like 1-5% on here.. 5% tops.. I can count how many posters have called him a bust on one hand

to edit this.. it's been a couple seasons with TL it's now year 3

Checking in, we all good in here?
Anyone remember those wide ass open TD passes to Kittle in the commanders and seahawks games? What about that wide ass open TD pass to Deebo in the WC round? In fact, alot of Purdy's TD passes were to wide ass open receivers. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Trey's injury last season is 100% on Kyle. How the hell can a QB be asked to slide on a power run between the damn tackles, with that many big bodies around him? It was a stupid play call, as were all of the other power runs between the tackles for Trey. Hardly a way to showcase his running ability as a QB.

Its less than a 2 million dollar hit if traded. The dead money on a trade is a little over 11 million. His salary(cap hit) is over 9 million. Making his hit the difference. 1.78 To be exact

Now if he was released that's a different story. Which THAT would never happen
