I think we're beyond this point though.
Purdy is currently injured... and people are debating whether or not to trade Trey or if he'll even be QB2.

Since when did Carr's opinion matter? Rap doesn't know what will happen in camp. It's all subjective. Like 99% of everything talked about in here

Kyle Shanahan effectively confirmed this with his own comments. That's what Carr, Ian and Albert Breer's opinions are based on, in addition to the obvious signals this would be the case outside of Shanahan's comments.
No problem with arguing who should win that battle as that is almost a pure projection, but the fact that there is a competition in some fashion is settled.
