Who cares? Why do some of you guys think that podcasters or radio guys somehow have a better idea what the team will do than the fans who hear the same comments from the team?

Use your heads people. We have 1 guy right now who is fully medically cleared to play if we had a game today. By the time camp rolls around we will have two guys and maybe a rookie QB or two.

The team certainly has a lot more information on Brock Purdy's recovery than we do but they're not fortune tellers. They don't know how he'll look once medically cleared.

If they trade Lance during the draft it leaves Sam Darnold as the only vet QB on the roster. It gives us an $11 million dead cap hit in the process.

Know what happens when teams are willing to take a big dead cap hit? They typically get overpaid in compensation or simply need to get an awful contract off the books and are willing to pay the dead cap hit to get it done.

Trey is on a rookie deal, even as the 3rd overall pick his contract as far as QBs go is super cheap. So only reason to take a dead cap hit for a team with cap issues is when another team gives big compensation to swing the trade.

You see that happening? 49ers held onto Jimmy tooth and nail just so they wouldn't lose him for nothing. They're not trading him for peanuts just to get rid of him. Stop this nonsense.

Pretty sure these same dudes though Deebo would be traded.

You kind of just proven my point. You are giving away a guy you traded 3 1st RD picks for and actually lose cap space. How does that make any sense?

The only way the Niners trade him is if a team offers them enough to the point where John and Kyle are willing to take the cap hit and also the risk of him being great. Atleast that's what a GM and coach with half a brain would do. Maybe I am giving John and Kyle too much credit but I hope not.

Actually now you're twisting it. You said the cap hit would be more than his numbers if he stayed on the team and they paid him. I showed you it's a very minimum hit and a plan to regain the cap space to cover the loss. Now if it were any other QB we were talking about, you would definitely agree with me and say "why haven't we done this already". lol

The only probably trading him before June 1st is the timing is wrong.

Also, the 9ers aren't gonna get what they paid to draft him, it never works that way.

I think CMC will really help, Trey's game.

Trey and Brock both need to get healthy and right now Trey is ahead in his rehab since his surgery happened earlier. I can't imagine Kyle not taking advantage of the situation and letting Trey play as much as possible. If he plays well then he has to make a decision between Trey and Brock once Purdy is healthy. He could keep them both or trade one if he got the right offer.

Trading Trey now wouldn't make sense because his value is low after not playing much the last 2 seasons. If he plays well in the pre season or in some early season games then his trade value would be higher if they chose to go with Brock. One way or another, it will get worked out.

I'm in favor of keeping both along with Darnold given the way the QBs keep getting hurt.

I see no reason to trade anyone. We got a f**k ton of picks the next to years. They're both on rookie contracts and we know Kyle goes through QBs like Jimmy G goes through pornstars.

Team has $3M in cap room, by trading him they lose $1.55M-$2M in cap room, not happening, not now anyway, and he looks improved, I know it's just one video, but he looks better, almost Mahomes-ish.

I'm not too concerned about Darnold. But the real hurtful moment for Trey fans WILL occur when they pull a fully healthy Trey for an even a partially healed Purdy. This WILL happen within the first four weeks of the season. All Trey fans will be crushed and they won't understand why Trey gets benched.

It's clear that the Niners FO is all in on the Purdy bandwagon. It would take much more than an improved throwing motion and potential to unseat Purdy at this stage in the game despite how much draft capital we spent drafting Trey.

Trey's only chance now to take the reins is if Purdy never makes a full recovery. Anything short of that, Trey sits on the bench as a second or third string QB.
