Frankly, if any team would offer a 1st for Lance we would probably take it based on the sample that Kyle and John have seen on him. However, chances are we're likely getting 3rd day picks thrown at us for consideration.

Yeah but, multiple teams means competition, and that means you've got to up your offer.

Pull the trigger, I want a top 20 pick and grab one of the top rushers, to team with Nick.

Or a top TE, to team with George.

Well I guess other teams saw their comments and thought the same thing I did. Looks like their plan to attract offers worked

Have to have your head in the sand or just plain Denial to not get what the team is going for. They're testing the waters for sure, idk if they actually trade him. It's just good business

Yea I'd imagine our camp is the one that leaked out that we're getting multiple offers. They are playing the game, so they do want to trade him it just comes down to getting the right offer now

It could also be that Trey's camp asked for this feeler process as well to gauge the interest and market. It could be a win-win-win.

There is also a chance he wants to be traded. I mean he isn't even at Phase 1?

Naturally. He just wants to go to a team where he gets a fair shake and playing time. He already knows he's been beaten out here, so it can't hurt to test out the market.

I bet they would move Brock for the right price all the same…

Yeah, their just fielding calls, but there is interest, which is surprising that there's interest 8 days before, this draft.

But but but I thought Lance sucked? Why would teams be calling about him if they think he stinks? Hmmmmm MAYBE because he doesn't suck like ya'll think. Our fan base is one of the most impatient bunch of babies I've ever been around.

Who says he sucks? The concensus around the league, is that he's a talent, and just needs a new home.

I think he sucks. Lol I also think he's a game manager. Not elite. Only thing about him that's talented are his physical traits

i still don't know if trading him is the right move tho

He can't be everything.

All of those things can be true. He currently sucks, his ceiling is a game manager, but he could become better then suck that he currently is - which would be helpful if Purdy isn't healthy in time

Not buying the report. Why would we trade Trey when his stock is at an all time low? I can see it once he puts some good tape out during preseason or something like that.

Maybe they aren't convinced this is his all time low. There is possibility they think more tape will just keep lowering his stock, as it has been doing

Kyle made Nick Mullen's look okay. I believe he can make Trey look decent

If they are already willing to get rid of him i doubt Kyle feels the same

Lance didn't have that plus he had only one season of game experience against Division 2 competition. The question is now, what can we get for Lance, my guess is a three at the most and a 2 after the dust is settled from the first round.

How was Trevor Lawrence's first year in the NFL? Lol
BTW NDSU is D1 FCS not D2.
Probably smokescreen, watch someone else gets traded!

Darnold is ready to go, if Dirty isn't ready. Pull the trigger!!

I wonder if Trey Lance can net a 1st round pick or close to that (two 2nd round picks)??

Who would you rather have now that Bryce Young will most likely be the #1 overall pick, CJ Stroud or Trey Lance, Anthony Richardson or Trey Lance??

Who said he sucks lol? Half the damn fan base including yourself.

SF is the last freaking team that should be in the business of moving good/young/ cheap QBs…unless you don't think he's good?

Why do you keep saying he sucks? He. sucks at getting hurt. Plus, Darnold is ready to go if Dirty isn't ready yet.

Going that route makes sense to us but not another team. Which would put us in the same compensation scenario.

If it's seen that he has a lot of work to do. Then we showcase him (his last "showcase" didn't go so well for him BTW) in the preseason who's going to want to spend prime capital to get him and throw him to the wolves trying to not only work on what he needs to work on but an entirely new playbook with new teammates. All while the live bullets start flying. That team would not put him in the best position to succeed. They'd want him before OTAs do he could learn their stuff.

Which is why now is the highest trade value he has. That team would get 1 year to see if he's worth the 5th year option. 2 years on super cheap deal. 3 years if they decide to pick up the option. All of that while he's still intriguing because of his lack of playing time. Someone will fall for his potential

Unlikely, but possibly. Kyle clearly loved him and clicked with him. Factor in his ridiculously cheap contract that doesn't even count against the salary cap for the next three years, doubtful. He displayed more than Lance in one quarter of play without training then Lance did in his three starts/camp/practices.
