Who said he sucks lol? Half the damn fan base including yourself.

SF is the last freaking team that should be in the business of moving good/young/ cheap QBs…unless you don't think he's good?

I know the coaches have seen more than fans so they'd have a much better idea the kinda player Trey is. I just want to actually see him play

I never said he sucks, I've always thought he had talent. He just needs to get over his injuries and play. It's just that Dirty is better and they moved on. Come on, NY, you got me confused with someone else.

Who would you rather have now that Bryce Young will most likely be the #1 overall pick, CJ Stroud or Trey Lance, Anthony Richardson or Trey Lance??

My rankings of those 4 would be

If I am Trey Lance and get the impression that another QB is going to be the #1 guy, then the 49ers start taking calls about trading then I am going to call it a day and request to be traded. Its just human nature not to stick around where you are not wanted.

If we keep him and he does start and chokes, then he will have zero trade value and will be a NFL bust who will probably be done in the NFL.
Take what you can get and move forward.

Yeah, their just fielding calls, but there is interest, which is surprising that there's interest 8 days before, this draft.

But but but I thought Lance sucked? Why would teams be calling about him if they think he stinks? Hmmmmm MAYBE because he doesn't suck like ya'll think. Our fan base is one of the most impatient bunch of babies I've ever been around.

Who says he sucks? The concensus around the league, is that he's a talent, and just needs a new home.

I think he sucks. Lol I also think he's a game manager. Not elite. Only thing about him that's talented are his physical traits

i still don't know if trading him is the right move tho

He can't be everything.

All of those things can be true. He currently sucks, his ceiling is a game manager, but he could become better then suck that he currently is - which would be helpful if Purdy isn't healthy in time

Why do you keep saying he sucks? He. sucks at getting hurt. Plus, Darnold is ready to go if Dirty isn't ready yet.

Cause I thought he was awful when he played. Very underwhelming. Even in camp he had a ton of rough reports. I mean if he looked as bad as he did in his starts with this top roster and coaching around him, how will he look in a crap or mediocre team

i hope the guy gets better and I'm sure he will, I'm just not sold on him being some superstar talent that some think. He's just physically awesome.

i always thought it was a terrible draft pick.

Not buying the report. Why would we trade Trey when his stock is at an all time low? I can see it once he puts some good tape out during preseason or something like that.

Maybe they aren't convinced this is his all time low. There is possibility they think more tape will just keep lowering his stock, as it has been doing

Kyle made Nick Mullen's look okay. I believe he can make Trey look decent

If they are already willing to get rid of him i doubt Kyle feels the same

Im not going to assume to know how Kyle feels.

He's telling us with his actions but go on and ignore

What actions. Lynch has said multiple times they take every call about every player. If we take calls on Bosa does that mean Kyles actions say he's worth trading?
This team would field calls for Kyle if the offer were good enough. They have already admitted they would. This isn't news.

I'm team Trey all the way, but if a team wants to send premium picks my way . . .

Well I guess other teams saw their comments and thought the same thing I did. Looks like their plan to attract offers worked

Have to have your head in the sand or just plain Denial to not get what the team is going for. They're testing the waters for sure, idk if they actually trade him. It's just good business

Yea I'd imagine our camp is the one that leaked out that we're getting multiple offers. They are playing the game, so they do want to trade him it just comes down to getting the right offer now

It could also be that Trey's camp asked for this feeler process as well to gauge the interest and market. It could be a win-win-win.

There is also a chance he wants to be traded. I mean he isn't even at Phase 1?

Naturally. He just wants to go to a team where he gets a fair shake and playing time. He already knows he's been beaten out here, so it can't hurt to test out the market.

Nothing about what Trey has been given is unfair. He's going into camp against an actual bust. If this thought were actually true, then Trey isn't the guy. I don't think he's afraid of not getting a fair shake against Sam Darnold. As for Purdy, nothing about Trey has said he's unwilling to go head to head and see who is the better QB.

Also the team is FIELDING calls. Not making them. And why would a team that ran out of QBs just give a QB away for anything less than a 1st?

Lol at you thinking you know more than the NFL media on what is going on. You just don't want it to happen

Lol according to who?

The media knows more about what? No one is saying teams aren't reaching out to see if Lance is available…no I don't want to lose a young QB for nothing. You living under a rock the past decade? We go through QBs like water

According to the guys that seemingly didn´t see Darnold for years with the Jets and the Panthers.
It´s funny how Kyle could be a magician and transform a turnover machine like Darnold in a competent QB but he should absolutely trade Trey Lance because well I guess that he´s a bust after 4 games.

Look Darnold could be bad, could be good, at this point who knows. But if Purdy is not ready this season, don´t talk about winning a Superbowl if your QB room is Sam Darnold and a late round QB.
Besides with all the injuries they had this season, they´d better keep as much QB as they can.
Trading Lance for probably a second rounder or something like that is stupid.
This draft is low on top talent. There´s depth but a second rounder won´t make any difference. Might as well do a CMC remake.
They should keep Trey Lance. At least you have two guys with Darnold until Purdy comes back.
Plus it would be a good idea to have a QB that knows the system during the offseason.

Fielding calls then advertising it? They would never do that with Bosa

Because if he still sucks, there will be zero trade value

Everybody in the league loves Trey's potential. That's why Qb needy teams are calling.

Hahaha damn, no competitor in you?

lol according to everyone in here he blows and we can't develop him.

so save me why would you think that shtick…clearly teams value him and our own fan base doesn't. The most impatient bunch of fans around.

Speaking for myself, it's not fan impatience, but the opinion that Kyle's actions imply that he does not want to play Lance, and is posturing himself so that he will not have to. Fans have only seen Lance in four starts, but Kyle has worked with him for two entire off seasons and seasons. Keeping him around and not playing him is counter productive.
