Doesn't matter. Lawrence wasn't good at all his rookie season, Kyle would have benched him early on and he never would have started again.

My son lol? Nah. It's organizational malpractice to move off a guy you're so convinced is the dude that you made the largest trade in franchise history. Simply the truth of the matter. Now your son McCorkle? I can see NE moving off his punk ass.
Trading a top 100 player? A Pro Bowl QB? A rookie QB that led his team to the playoffs. All of that at the age of 23 too.
Pro bowl hahahahahahahajaja you mean after 4 QBs passed. Tyler Huntley is a "pro bowl" QB stop with that b******t.
Dudes a turd

That pretty clearly defines anyone that would trade Lance for whatever they could get right now. It's no surprise that those pushing that the hardest are those that have made it clear that they have had a personal distaste for Lance since we drafted him, if not before.
Yet, the ones pushing to trade Jimmy last offseason just si happens to be the ones that had a hard on for Lance since before he was drafted.
Was wanting Jimmy traded last year the best interest of the team or best interest for Trey?

There is a reason teams passed on Purdy. We just haven't seen it yet. I hope we don't but it's why I am skeptical. Purdy might have the weakest arm in the league. That is part of why he went last in the draft.

That so called Pro Bowl QB has 36 TD passes and 24 INT's in his 1st 2 years. He only made the pro bowl because like 5 QB's had to bow out.

The ones pushing to trade Jimmy last year? You mean Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch who were openly shopping him before his surgery scuttled any deal?

This is where the he didn't have Kittle or CMC comes back to bite some in the ass.
He did half of that with no real OC. Now imagine if he had a top 5 defense. Top 5 running game. Deebo and Aiyuk to go with Kyle Shanahan.
Would those numbers not be a hell of a lot better?

Who, the hell do you think, was available? Josh Allen?
No one… so stop being dumb about it and thinking we're backed into a corner to trade a QB on a rookie contract and who hasn't proven he blows…unlike the other QB on the roster.
It's not dumb, I actually think it's a brilliant observation on my part. It's not rocket science. And, Brock is the real deal. Unlike, Trey, who hasn't showed s**t in 2 years.

I'd much rather us move on from a highly drafted player that we don't have confidence in anymore then try and make it work for 6 years like Alex smith.
the debate shouldn't be "can Lance be a functional solid qb". I think it should be "does the team believe Lance can become a top 5 Qb in the nfl".
i vote no and seems like the team decision makers have too. No one is saying he won't improve, but improve to a superstar? Based on what? His amazing physical traits that couldn't function in rain against the worst team in the nfl? Hell yeah! Gimme some more of that!

Why don't you just stick to your impatient angst and penis tingling jokes.
Trey wasn't allowed to play in year one, and got hurt right away from being plowed up the middle by idiotic playcalling. How can you fault him for not showing anything? The 49ers have completely mismanaged his development because they wanted it both ways. They wanted to win with a veteran team and develop this phenom, but you couldn't do both simultaneously so they have wasted a ton of time not getting him any snaps.
He needs to develop as a passer, but as usual Shanahan didn't have the balls to let him go through the growing pains of passing the ball a lot, and kept giving him designed runs, which totally ruined their timeline of development. Getting a ton of snaps in year 2 was vital if you were going to sit him out to learn in year 1.
Now they discovered Purdy, and are caught trying to go multiple directions at once. Purdy getting hurt is the perfect opportunity to get Lance reps and see if he can answer what Purdy did. If they are actually shopping Lance now they are stupid.
The Lynch/Shanahan regime has constantly waffled on this QB position. Every offseason its "inquiring" about Brady, or Rodgers, or Cousins. I get that injuries keep happening, but this entire transition from Garoppolo to Lance has been a sh*tshow.
