The problem is waiting. If the team waits until he doesn't pan out, then his trade value plummets.

Agree. but if someone offers us a nice package, now, I'd not wait for next year.

The car has been driven off the lot. We are not getting a nice package unless Lance proves he is worth it.

For what they paid to get him and the position he plays, Anything less than a 1st is basically nothing anyways. You keep him unless you get a 1st RD pick for him. And then you go BPA with that pick because when Trey turns into a top 5 QB you can hopefully atleast say you got a superstar out of the deal.

He's got untapped, potential. He just needs to stay healthy and play.

Not, getting a first. That ship has sailed, a second or third is the next best thing. If we can get that, pull the trigger and put an end to this thing, so we can all move on.

And? Who cares. They're not gonna get super meaningful trade compensation right now anyway.

Imagine if they trade Lance for a 3rd and some team actually develops him and he turns into a Hurts type QB? Meanwhile there is a situation where Brock never regains that play from last yr and turns into a Jimmy G type QB. Then what? Everyone gonna get fired? Someone should…what has happened to Lance is QB development malpractice. They should never be allowed to draft a QB again imo. There's no patience and clearly no real plan. Let's toss you in and if you're not great from day 1 on to the next.

people bring up Fields (who was my pick) he would have never been whatever he is in Chicago right now. He would have been hurt or on the bench. Kyle would have flipped his s**t if he took off after seeing his first read wasn't there. IMO Mahomes would have never been Mahomes here all the same. His first yr was backyard football (still kinda is). Kyle would have never allowed that.

I think Kyle is a great coach. I really thought he showed growth when he went after Lance. I thought he was gonna allow his QB the opportunities to make plays, rather than be a robot to his offense. I remember the first couple weeks of Lance's first TC and everyone was saying he looked electric. He looked amazing. Kid was probably just going out and making plays. Then kyle said this is my offense and this is what you will do. It's why he loves Kirk and Jimmy. It's why he loves Brock. End of the day imo we won't win it all with just scheme.

Waiting is not going to solve the problem, because he's not playing anyways. He can't show what he's got to anyone.

it was a damn good game by Brock and the entire offense.

It's one thing to really like Trey and think he can do well.. it's another to be completly delusional and throw all logic out the window. I guess it's the only way to prop up Lance in comparison to Purdy?

No it wasn't a damn good game from brock and that offense. No one knows what Lance would do if given the ability to actually play a 7 straight games.

it has nothing to do with propping up anyone. It's being objective and understanding making some conclusions on either guy is incredibly stupid.

Who said he's not playing? He's currently gonna be getting a bunch of 1st string reps all through camp and very well could be the starting QB come WK1. Brock is in fact not healthy and will not be for months. Even he himself said he doesn't know if he will play this yr.

Like I said perviously, talking in absolutes regarding our QBs is a foolish thing to do, you should have enough experience understanding that by now.

trading him for subpar draft compensation, in a f**king awful draft when they have 11 picks…is in fact dumb.

Tossing all you eggs into a one armed Brock who we have no clue on if he can maintain his play from last yr or when he will even play and a horrible Sam Darnold…is incredibly ignorant.

I'm talking about game reps. And, I said a 2nd and 3rd is what we should be shooting for. If not, don't do it. I'm not a fool.

It's truly is the dumbest most unrealistic sports conversations I've ever witnessed. And Ive seen some doozies in the other guy thread. The guy has played 4 games. Not 4 games in a row mind you, 4 random games. Thing is... He played pretty well in Houston after an initial rough start going 16-23, 69%, 2 TD 1 int, 250 passing,, 116 rating w/ 31 rushing. Then they ridiculously judge him in a rain game. Was Lance bad? Yes but not many QBs, especially brand new QBs play well in that sort of game. It's astonishing that people don't understand that.

Now I don't know if Trey is going to be good, I think he has tremendous talent but that doesn't change that a vast majority of QBs need at least a season to find their groove and to improve or fail. This is about as common sense as it gets in any sport and how fans do not understand this baffles me. I'm not trying to troll or push buttons but 4 games, not even in a row is like you said just flat out stupid.

I'm not moving him for that either. No point. Saying he's getting no game reps in April is silly too

Game reps in September, silly. Your not getting a first for someone who hasn't proved anything. A second and third is what they're looking at. Expecting, two firsts or something is not realistic, anymore. It's wishful thinking, what your proposing, NY. Your going to be waiting till the cows come home, on that one.
