This is kinda on topic…since some people are talking about trading Lance for a bag of peanuts and to get Joe blow in this draft…Trent Baalke just said they have 127 players on their big board lol. That's 127 draftable players. This isn't a great draft at all. Just because you get a certain pick at a certain spot doesn't mean that player is graded as a 1st/2nd or 3rd rd talent.

I'd rather have Lance than any mid level rookie in this draft. Move him next yr if he stinks. It's not like his value is peak right now anyway.

Mike silver said a 3rd rd pick. In this draft lol? f**k off with that. SF has an enough midlevel draft picks in a weak draft overall.

f**k, Putin. Sorry, fellow Zoners, it's the Nicaraquan/Irish mumbo jumbo. Sorry, back to Niners talk. Go, Niners, go!

Yeah I don't think anyone thinks, or believes, he should be just given away. If Lance gets traded, we will get at least a first - you know we will demand it

if anyone wants to get rid of Lance for mid round draft picks, well that's their problem.
i predict either Houston or Hotlanta trades for him, or def tries.

I would have bet money on Tenn a week ago. I'm thinking it ends up being the Vikings. They'll dump Cook (probably to MIA) use part of that compensation for Trey.

I would love to get darnell washington though. Even If he struggles at TE he could make the move to OT. But he fits EVERYTHING the niners would look for at TE.

If he doesn't work moving him to OT? Jesus lol. This draft stinks lol
So is Trey in California or was that just another conspiracy you guys made up out of thin air?

Why would Miami take Cook? Dudes banged up and expensive. Just draft a RB.

Lol. He's been at the facility, it was fake news of course.

This draft is more than OK at the positions we need. If we had our own 1st we'd be able to come away with a guaranteed starter. Unfortunately, we swung for the fences.

If they trade TL, the massive mistake would be drafting him in the first place.

If his future is Herbert 2.0, I am pretty sure the FO wouldn't trade him for a short stack of flapjacks and call it even. They aren't that stupid. Our FO is actually one of the best in the game. If they trade him, that essentially means to me he is a bust. That's the only reason they would trade him out, and I don't think they will.

I had the same Herbert comparison over on Twitter. Here is my point. Would Kyle be happy with Justin Herbert? Would he fit into Kyle's offense? I'm not convinced the answer is a resounding YES!

What I am convinced is Kyle thinks his system is more important than any individual QB. Any QB must fit Kyle's offense because Kyle will not change his system for any QB. That's how stubborn he is.

It's no secret what Kyle is seeking. He wants a QB that can make quick reads, get rid of the ball in an accurate manner. Accuracy is key! Said QB must be able to hit the shorter passes in stride which allows his YAC receivers to excel. He doesn't need a QB to make those big chunk plays.

I don't think a Herbert/Lance type is the ideal fit. Yes this begs the question….why did the Niners draft Trey in the first place? This is the question that now haunts the organization.

But they've learned their lesson. They lucked out that Purdy came in and seemed to be the ideal fit for Kyle's offense. My guess is they'll draft a similar QB (Haener?) i the draft. Kyle doesn't develop QBs. He wants plug and play results which is another reason the Trey experiment doesn't work.

Any way you slice it, Trey is on the outside looking in. Only way we keep Trey is as a stopgap until Purdy recovers. The writing is on the wall. Niners have given up the ghost on Trey and again, it's due to Trey being the wrong type for Kyle's offense.

Agree to disagree. I don't see a ton of special talent. Yes there's depth at the positions we're looking at, doesn't mean they're long term starters.

if we had the 29th pick in the draft I don't know if we come away with a guaranteed starter. Also there's a difference between being a starter and actually being good

If Trey stays the course, anything is possible. The world is his oyster. Good kid, the best to him and his.

I still want to see the concept of 11v11, so this is a QB who is a real run threat, who can also put the ball all over the field, including downfield. Those guys don't grow on trees, which I suppose was the logic of the TL pick.. I want to see Fields run this offense.. I mean the 3 win Bears had no business leading the NFL in rush yds, they just didn't yet they did.. imagine that type of ability with a KS run game, CMC, and the NFL would blow up. I will start work on the time machine.. see what happens here
