That one he missed to Aiyuk he is never going to be able to make that pass. Doesn't have the arm strength. Unless Aiyuk is 20 feet open and can wait on it like the one he had vs the Bucs I believe. But those 30+ yard passes you need to hit on a line so the DB can't close on it and pick it off or knock it down he won't be able to make. He has physical limitations, It's why he was drafted in the 7th RD. So far he has overcome those limitations but it remains to be seen if defenses will adjust and it starts to become an issue. Or maybe he just hasn't faced many good defenses. He faced two, The Cowboys where he struggled and the Eagles where he got hurt early.

Cardinals
Bucs(the defense was decimated with injuries)
Dolphins
Raiders

Those were the other defenses that Purdy beat during his streak. Ironically the only defense he really struggled against was the Cowboys who also happened to be the only good defense he faced for an entire game.

Commanders have a really good defense.

What I remember is that before each game it was constantly posted how it will going to be another big test for Purdy.

You can try to prop Lance up without running Purdy down.

again i dont give a s**t about Sam Darnold. im not a fan. someone on Niner discord said he was there and i already knew Brock was in the bldg because it was reported. i cared a lot if Trey was there. why? because i would love nothing more for him to fulfill his potential.

you guys are acting like i'm trying to throw shade on Trey but im not. his assumed absence might've had something to do with the national dialog in sports media about Trey's possible trade. so in trying to connect the dots, this became a thing. it's been since corrected so i dont know why you guys are mad? (other than fact a few of you weirdly feel the need to be Captain Save-A-Trey if you perceive someone talking negative/bad about him)

i have run into these ppl myself there are some who don't even post content, they just go around policing yours for perceived bias, lack of QB 'fairness' etc.

No I'm not lol. He wasn't even my top guy for them to draft. Overall I would say no team is game planning for his legs. I wouldn't call his off schedule playing much different from what Jimmy did in 2017. I don't think his arm talent is great and I question how much was him vs how great the roster is. I will root for BCB or whomever is our guy out there on Sundays. I'm sorry I'm not all in or all out any QB with less than 10 starts.

So if the roles were reversed and Trey would've performed even half aswell as Purdy in those 8 starts you wouldn't be singing a different tune?

Yeah, it'd be risky trading him this draft. Not, knowing if Dirty is going to be 100% entering the season.

Also, I don't think we'll trade Trey. But if we do, there is zero excuse not to get a package similar to Josh Rosen to the Dolphins, Sam Darnold to the Panthers, or Carson Wentz to the Commanders.

The former two showed a vastly larger sample size of being a bust and still netted a 2nd round pick and change. Wentz was washed with a bloated contract and netted two 3rds.

I don't buy the "Trey is only worth a 3rd" crap. It would definitely be a massive loss from the three 1sts we traded for him, but getting a 2nd is a very fair expectation.

TL doesn't move very well to me and he doesn't dot ppl like BP. What about questions on his accuracy or his ability to consistently put the ball where he wants it? I think he can work here, but not with his run threat, with his arm, if he gains the consistency. Right now, from the limited sample we have seen, he is scattershot. BP was not just completing but putting it, right, on, the, money.. there is a difference between getting it to a guy, and perfect ball placement. The difference is often YAC.
