They said they were open for business for any single player. Have been since day 1

Everyone is expendable, your an asset in the league. If they find something worth wild in a package, no matter how long of an employee, you've been. You will be moved. Just ask, Joe, Ronny or Haley.

Even mean? They're back in the series, if they went down 0-3, heading back to Sac, it's probably over.

It the truth of it. Imo if a team said we will give you a 1st this yr and next yr for Brock….SF would say ✌️ to Brock all the same. Thing is no team would do that. Especially right now.

IMO Brock isn't some elite talent oozing upside that every single GM got wrong. He's played a f**k ton of football and understands how to run Kyle's offense. He just so happened to be playing on a Super Bowl roster as well. No hate on him, I'll root for Brock all day if he's the guy. I see him more of a Jimmy G level guy long-term vs Mahomes/allen/burrow who you build a team around for a decade. Of course my opinion can change with the more football he plays 😉

Come on, NY. You know better, than that. Jimmy G, level. Brock? He's a revelation, a phenom. He's Dirty Purdy, never seen anything like him since Joe. Perfect, for us and everyone in the league loves him and his story. Jimmy G, level? Oh, my god. Darnold is Jimmy G, level. Brock might not be as dynamic, like Mahomes. But, he knows how to win games. And, that's something your born with no learned in practice, but actually, done in real game situations and playoff pressure.

You hit the nail on the head with Perfect for us comment. I think that gets lost in looking around the league at all these physically gifted QBs and want what they have. It's all about running the offense you are being asked to run and Brock has ran his offense like a Boss.

Can't judge Trey but you already judging Brock
Wasn't the main consensus with many here before last season that pocket QBs like Brock and Jimmy were a thing of the past and that mobile QBs like Trey are the immediate future? I could be wrong but I'm pretty damn sure that maby here that have turned on Trey were saying this.

Exactly, krizay. He's the perfect West Coast Qb, if that's what we're still running. A Joe, clone. Not, a huge arm like Trey or Mahomes, but accurate, distributes the ball to our playmakers, gets the ball out quick, like Joe. Can scramble and get you a first down. Can improvise when plays breakdown. He's perfect for what we need. I don't get what, NY is trying to convince us of. He's not Mahomes level, but Jimmy G? He's a better version of Jimmy. A quick release and distributor like Jimmy, but Jimmy was a statue in the pocket. Brock can move around and get you some yards and a first down to keep the drive going, and can improvise and make something out of nothing. I know I'm repeating, s**t, but you get my point. He might not work in Buffalo or Cincy, but he perfectly works for what we do.

I was never one of them. Fact is, Mahomes is the only mobile QB to win the SB in the last decade. He and Russ were the only 2 since 98(Elway) It's just a thing they say on TV that got people believing that's what you need. GM's fall for it every year trying to find that magical unicorn.

To me what's changed is allowing young QBs to use their legs as a crutch while they learn the passing game. It makes them playable and helps them get on the field and start developing sooner. Only problem is risk of injury.

Guys like Hurts and Lamar are very good options, better than many pocket passers. Pocket passers get to a level though, like Brees or Brady or Manning where they are better options than a Lamar. In the end it's about pocket passing. If Lamar/Hurts can get to that level of pure passing they would barely ever need to run. It's hard to make that transition though, the only one that I think TRULY went from run first to pure passer is Steve Young
I am very happy the NFL has finally started accepting different ways of moving the ball and not forcing the Losmans and Bolers on us anymore……but a pocket passer at the Brady/Brees/Manning/Joe level will never die. I would take them over any new age guy other than Mahomes

And it's not really Mahomes physical traits that make him great. There are plenty guys with his size and arm strength. He's great because he has unmatched instincts and feel for the game and is deadly accurate
