Hurts is on the cusp of bing a top 5 QB in the league. Dude was the best player on the field in the Super Bowl.

now that he's signed to a mega deal, he's gonna have to be that type of QB long-term. No more loaded roster. Same s**t will happen here at some point.

we want a QB that has the capability of being a top 5 QB season in and season out. A dude that can put a team on his back & mask the deficiencies of a roster we can't afford anymore. Is that Brock? I have my doubts. I'm also good at eating crow lol

You're right, i know hurts can play well and all that, I just have my doubts he can carry a team/mask their deficiencies. we will see though, he did have a bum shoulder down the stretch. I just don't think his running ability will last much longer than a few more years, then it'll be less and less of a factor.

The good news about Brock is that his contract is super cheap for three more years, he currently isn't even counted against the salary cap. That can enable us to really build around him. I think Brock can mask certain aspects of a mediocre roster around him, he will just have to do it different than a guy like hurts, he won't be running a ton. I do like the way he is in the pass game though.

these massive contracts for QBs need to relax. The salary cap isn't going up nearly enough to justify it, even if the cap jumps $60M by 2026. That's only a 22-25% jump in 3 years. From 2018 to present - jimmy had the largest contract at 27.5M a year and now QBs are getting $50M+. Outta control

We know you don't believe it, you compared his accomplishments and abilities to Minshew.

Oh that's a massive plus with Brock is his contract. We got some guys that are getting a little long in the tooth though and will need to be replaced.

I agree QB contracts are out of control and only gonna get worse.

Huh? Yeah as far as QB traits I would say he's similar to Minshew. I didn't say his "accomplishments" were equal to Minshew. I don't even know what that means. Yeah I said I have my doubts and I'll happily eat crow if he turns into some elite level top 5 QB. I'll be happy as f**k.

I guess if you want to go the route of "accomplishments" go look at Nick Foles numbers that Super Bowl year… 6 games he had a 110 QB rating, 75.8% completion, avg 322 yards per game and had 12TDs to 4 INTS. Dude was never able to come remotely close to replicating that s**t. He didn't get hurt and actually won a SB though

Haha yea man the comparisons are fair, he was unbelievable. We all know you're not saying he IS going to be the next Joe. I don't think that's what Ronnie Lott was trying to say either

Yeah, Brock is his own man, who will win multiple Super Bowls, not saying 4. like Joe. But, who knows, right?

Josh Allen's Jump that we talk about around here didn't come until he got Stefon Diggs. Jalen Hurts jump didn't come until he got AJ Brown and also a perfect situation. Joe Burrow offense is littered with star WRs. Justin Hebert Talent all around them. EVERY QB needs talent. Except Mahomes. That dude is in his own league.

Unfortunately for the rest of the league, you are correct. I hate that dude, his Kermit the frog voice and lame -a$$ hair cut, but you're right. If they somehow land D-Hopkins, may as well give them another one. Could put AJ Jenkins with him and he'd have 1000yds

At this point NY I think you've made your point crystal clear 😂

Okay and they got beat by a team the year before that didn't even win the SB. A team with a top offense and defense can beat them

We had that with Jimmy and lost because everyone kept telling us that Mahomes would be the difference. By the end of the game he was

lol s**t gives me early Jimmy G vibes all over again. I don't dislike BCB in the slightest…not sure he's a top 5 dude in the long-term though. I just need to see it longer, that's all. If he turns into that. You won't find a happier 49er fan than me

It is idiotic! An NFL QB should not be paid as if he is Lebron James in his prime. This is what these Aaron Rodgers wanted but Aaron Rodgers wasn't swinging championships and NBA Finals appearances from city to city wherever he went like LBJ was either. These QBs got jealous of those NBA players and asked for more undeservedly so. They don't play offense and defense. They don't close out games both sides of the ball like Kobe. They should make no more than 10% of the 53 man player salary budget. Pure greed is what it is and this needs to STOP!

He has it in him, NY. He's Dirty Purdy, our phenom and savior.

The reason Brock's injury in the NFCCG was So disappointing was that the team was setting the Eagles up, had a plan to burn them, and had sky high confidence in Brock's ability to execute that. They had very high confidense they would win that game and go to the SB.

What do you guys want? That's not good enough because your quarterback is not 6'4" and a gazelle? JHC.
