What do you guys want? That's not good enough because your quarterback is not 6'4" and a gazelle? JHC.

We want to beat Mahomes. We went to the Super Bowl with Jimmy G. I was happy with him but when we decided to move on from him I then said we have to beat Mahomes and we need a guy to beat that guy. Brock can not be another Jimmy G or just a little bit better because that won't beat Mahomes. Brock has to be good enough to beat Mahomes. Maybe he is and maybe he isn't. Maybe Trey is and maybe he isn't. We just need HIM.

I want him to maintain that play longer than a couple games before I proclaim him the next Burrow or whatever. I'm not down with tossing all my eggs in one basket all over again…now add in a significant injury to his throwing arm?

Sorry if I'm not completely sold yet, I know we're all thirsty for the next great SF QB. We've been down this road before. I'll just wait a little longer before jumping on the ship completely. I'll just wait a little longer before we toss a 22 yr old QB to the streets as well.

Josh Allen's Jump that we talk about around here didn't come until he got Stefon Diggs. Jalen Hurts jump didn't come until he got AJ Brown and also a perfect situation. Joe Burrow offense is littered with star WRs. Justin Hebert Talent all around them. EVERY QB needs talent. Except Mahomes. That dude is in his own league.

Unfortunately for the rest of the league, you are correct. I hate that dude, his Kermit the frog voice and lame -a$$ hair cut, but you're right. If they somehow land D-Hopkins, may as well give them another one. Could put AJ Jenkins with him and he'd have 1000yds

Well he got obliterated by the Bucs a few years back. What's scary though is Mahomes + Andy Reid. They're always evolving, always adapting. They turned that vaunted Philly D into a joke. Javon Hargrave who?

Agreed and it's not even just beat Mahomes. It's all those damn QBs in the AFC. Toss in Hurts now.

going to NFCC games are sweet. They're not the goal anymore though. We've lost a SB and two NFCC's because of QB play for the most part.

We had that with Jimmy and lost because everyone kept telling us that Mahomes would be the difference. By the end of the game he was

That's great but it's one game. He doesn't win the SB every year so I'm not sure why you act like he's unbeatable. We were the #1 offense with Brock and we had the #1 defense. I think we would have beat him last year with a healthy Brock. So does the team

Welp, imo, Kyle and John are sold on him, and have "soured" on Trey, so you are going to get your time.

They got demolished because the OL was totally rebuilt like two weeks before the SB. I don't think a single guy that started the year was playing the same position on the OL at the Super Bowl.

I don't even think it's Mahomes is in a league of his own. Allen is a fixing unit. He needs more than Diggs and like Brock f**ked up his UCL late last yr. As long as he's on that team they will always be in discussions. Same with Burrow. I think Herbert is a totally stud as well, the coaching staff stinks over there and they can't catch a break with injuries. God can you imagine Herbert in SF

Brock isn't immobile like Jimmy. He can make plays with his legs behind the line and did so several times.

Regarding Trey, it would be foolish for the team to trade him without seeing if or to what degree he has improved with the updated mechanics. After all, his primary problems have been accuracy and hesitation. Mechanics can help the first one and time can help the second one.

In conclusion, the people you think "turned on" Trey were always against him because they resent him for being drafted to replace Jimmy, and people like me, while we still believe Trey could be a good QB (He plays a lot like Donovan McNabb), Brock Purdy's excellent play changed the calculus.

If Trey shows improvement in camp, you got to keep him, because his ceiling is still higher than Purdy—not just because he's a bit more mobile, but because his arm is a lot stronger. And if not, well, there still is no reason to trade him without solid compensation.

He's won two, been to three and been to the conference championship game every single year. Stop. Having a Hall of Fame QB makes your team MUCH better than having a Jimmy. We had a Mahomes and we would have gone undefeated by now—at least once, if not more (assuming we still built the team this way, which I suppose may not have happened if we didn't have to compensate for the QB position).

Those are Mahomes traits too. In fact the things which separate Mahomes from Allen are the things that Purdy has (the improvisation, arm angles, reflexes, etc). Purdy just lacks the physical talent.

Purdy can throw deep boss

You are arguing with a wall. I don't disagree with one word you said

What? You're telling me Allen lacks improvisation, arm angles, reflexes…I'll disagree with that all day. Not sure if you watch Bills' games with that comment.

You want those instincts over physical talent at the QB position. Physical talent is nice but it's not what makes QBs great
