Jeff will always be one of my favorite 9ers. Underrated but a hometown boy from Gilroy. Went to San Jose State and tore it up. Walsh loved him back then but he went undrafted and had to go the CFL where he won the Grey Cup (that's the Canadian Super Bowl).
After coming to the NFL, he went to 4 Pro Bowls, took 3 teams to the playoffs. According to this list he is the 66th best of all time https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/09/nfl-100-best-quarterbacks
According to the "passer rating" list he is tied for #31

The Giants come back win in the playoffs is easily one of the best of all time "Cough" Trey Junkin "Cough"
Shout out to our Gilroy Grinder aka the redheaded Mexican

Not just play but pump up his value - we basically played it perfectly. Only downside of Lance is not being able to start day 1 but we mitigate that with a good qb.

Trey Lance has MVP potential. This is a risk worth taking.
This x 1000000000
When you have gone all in - you don't play safe. You go all in and you go for the throat. You draft a QB that has potential to wreck this league.

#49ers fans, Trey Lance was one of the most beloved players in the 2021 NFL Draft.

If he didn't go 3, I think he may have been going 4. And teams would have had a bidding war to get him. https://t.co/JyIRc6W7zH
Three players I've heard the a lot of effusive praise about in character-wise: #NDSU's Trey Lance, #Alabama's Jaylen Waddle and #Oregon's Penei Sewell.

All rare talents, but also all really impressive individuals. Big reason why all three are Top-10 "locks".
