Preseason won't change too much of it. Every bad play will be because Trey sucks and every good play will be because of everyone else. Rinse and repeat.
I don't think Kyle risks playing Trey in preseason. We need all the QB's we can keep healthy.
And Kyle doesn't like preseason games.
Trey better be playing in the preseason. He needs to play all the full contact tackle football he possibly can.
I agree and I think Trey is going to get a lot of playing time whether they think Brock will be ready by week one or not.
They not only need to see how much he's progressed and how he can improve one game to the next, they also need to confirm who's going to be the guy if Brock isn't healthy enough by then.
Granted, you could argue most of that will show in practice. Preseason won't always tell the whole story.
