I can't think of a QB we had on our roster under Shanahan that didn't at least outwardly appear to be a good human being. Our team is seemingly filled with them, and Trey is no exception.
I think it's key to our culture. Front office has done a great job of gathering personalities that meld a great & supportive culture. They love football.
i wouldn't say it's irrelevant because it matters when it comes to getting everyone's respect and support when playing with him. If he was a douche but very talented, i think that would impact how the players play for him every play. Not saying they would let him get hit but not care when it comes to maximum effort and genuinely trying your hardest for him.
i do see what you're saying though, it's not the most important variable in regards to his play on the field. I'm just saying I think personality/character is a huge part of being a good QB.
i think a big reason Jimmy was able to keep the team together through the ups and downs of his play because they really liked and cared about him. Wanted to be there for him.
